Beautiful lake. Often crowded. $10 per day for parking. We have never camped but looks like nice campsites. There are trails, a dock, roped off swim area, playground, campground, gazebos with BBQ, bathrooms and more. Boat launch is located at a different part of the lake.
Amazing place for kids and adults to get out and swim and have a blast! The swimming area is perfect and a large shelf allows a huge shallow area to wade and play in the water. Safe for the kids!
2 stars for a beautiful park. That's it. As you might be able to see, there is no bank fishing. Unless your fishing for snags and just like to donate your lure collect at odd times. If there are two people on the dock they look at you crazy like there's not room for another. It's big dock. All in all I managed to keep my lures but wasted $10 unless you count getting to look at the Marriott of campgrounds with a look but don't touch experience a good buy. Sorry tired and rambling. And $40 a night to camp. That's why i call it the Marriott. They could make it less like a campground or extended stay for the concrete campers and lower the price and it still wouldn't be a good deal for fishing. Unless you have a boat. Or live here. That's another thing I've encountered here in Washington, most of the really nice lakes are surrounded by private homes having only one public access area, usually very small. Nuff said.
I first came here when I was a young pollywog. My brother bathed me in the sweet water known as flowing lake. The water caressed my body. I my breath was taken by the sheer beauty of what surrounded me. I fell in love but never returned. I will always hold these memories deep within myself never letting them fade. For that I love you sweet sweet flowing lake
Beautiful park not far from town. Rangers are super cool here. Power and water at our site. No sewer or dump on site. Lake was recently filled with trout. Should be getting hungry and coming back to the boat launch for some good catching. Bring your poles and bait. Nice trail goes around perimeter of camp area. Explore explore!
Extremely clean and cozy cabin, well maintained. A little escape to the woods but only 15 minutes from town. Very much enjoyed my stay and will be back. Cabin has heat and lights, electrical outlets, a small table and four chairs and some configuration of bunk bed/futon, depending on the cabin you book. In close proximity to the cabin door, each has a firepit, grill and water source, along with a picnic table and umbrella. Lovely, quiet and absolutely worth return trips.
This was like camping in a slice of heaven. It's a small campground, but it has great nature trails, a big, beautiful lake, and convenient hike-in campsites. I imagine it might feel a bit crowded during peak times, but we felt like we had the place to ourselves.
We took a whole group and occupied four sites. Sites were nice with functional tables and plenty of space for tents. Park ranger was friendly and helpful. Players ground was funny for the kids. Lake was beautiful with a nice swimming area. Fishing dock was nice with space to spread out and benches for sitting. The one outhouse by us left much to be desired. The bathroom by the day use area had running water and was acceptable, but not great. The nature trail around the campground was awesome.
Pretty nice park. İt was a bit busy during my visit but it was. İ drove by the camping sites, and thought of reserve one for next year!
Camped here last night and it was awesome. The camp ranger is so kind and friendly. Hope to come back again.
