I just caught my first fish rainbow trout since I was just a little kid. Played some poker with the neighbors. Saw 3 generations of geese hanging out.
This is my happy place! Once you drive thru the gate of LCP it's just so calming. The staff and caregivers work really hard to make this a magical getaway place. Plenty of activities for all or if you just want relaxation this is the place to be.
I'm no longer a member but my daughter has a spot here. Nothing has changed in 30 yrs. Pool 1 has an issue with green algae on the bottom. Thought not having Pool 2 for adults sucked. Still no bushes or shrubs between between sites. like going to state camp ground.
While the setting is beautiful and there are lots of activities, parks, trails, etc they have some rules that are incredibly frustrating and make me feel unwelcome. First, you can't jump in the pools. I get not diving, but why not jumping? What exactly is the point of a pool if you can't play in it? Second, members have to check in non-members by coming all the way to the front gate. I understand that they want to control who comes into the park, but why can't the members let the front desk know that they have guests coming? Members could give the front desk names and car make/model. Guests could still check in and give ID and the front desk can verify the vehicle. A lot of the rules are just frustrating and make for a less-than-relaxing experience.
Lake Connor Park has a great community and offer good events in the summer. It's definitely a chill way to spend your time. This is a private campground though they offer some spots for nightly rentals. Be aware, 5 mph is strictly enforced!
We love coming to Lake Connor with our friends and it's such a wholesome place to bring our children. There are always fun family activities. As a first timer experiencing Power House, it was a fantastic concert! Thank you for providing a safe, fun and family oriented place of enjoyment, activities and relaxation!
Great place for families. They always have fun events going on and the best part is it’s close to home!
I don't know if I would want to own a spot here, but I so enjoy visiting my friend that does have a spot. As long as you don't break any rules and are courteous to others around you, it's an awesome place to get away from the daily grind and just unwind!
What a beautiful treat! So thoughtfully provided pools, club houses, nice facilities! So looking forward to my next visit!
Beautiful and quiet location. Very clean and well set up. The people are friendly, but not noisy. A nice hidden gem. Restrooms: The restrooms are nice and cleaned daily.
