Walsh's No Frills

Some of the prices on certain items are outrageous. $7 for a bag of kale salad is crazy. I was denied a manufacturer's coupon and told I cannot use coupons on discounted items. I guess they would rather discard the soon to expire items then sell them. I've never heard of such a policy. Quite disappointed.

Nice No Frills store. I have been to a few other No Frills and this is a typical one. This is a yellow brand store that is part of the Loblaws group of stores. The store is well lit and clean. The store is independently owned but part of a chain of stores. There is lots of parking spaces and is easy accessible. The only drawback is that the location is in a less desirable part of Edmonton. That’s okay though you just need to be aware of what’s going on around you. Overall this is a good store and has good service and prices.

This location used to be great recently the staff has changed. My most recent experience was horrible.nnI walked up to a young stock boy for assistance and he stared at me blankly. No hello or how can I help. He just stared. So I asked him the question which j had. He continued to stare at me until I asked do you speak. To which he nodded and whispered yes. He started walking towards produce when i told him I know where the product is but I am asking if you have more. He continued to give me a bad attitude.nnI have worked in customer service for 16 years and have greet every customer who walks by me. Asked many if they require assistance. This gentlemen barely spoke English and acted very entitled. When I asked him for his name he asked why and turned 180 degrees and walked away from me. This happened on Thursday July 4th at 6:30 p.m. he was a young east Indian man! I myself am East Indian and would never treat anyone in this way. If he didn't know the answer that is fine, but he could have greeted me and attempted to assist me considering he works there.nnOn the other hand, Shahzan I think, the young gentlemen in produce was fantastic and was able to answer all my questions. He even went to speak to his manager to confirm some details. He is the reason this rating has went from 2 to 3 stars.

Much better prices than 90 percent of grocery stores, although limited selection to accommodate these prices. Great for essential needs on a weekly basis to reduce grocery bills drastically.

Great small store to get all you need...prices used to be reasonable, but it looks like with more advertising in YouTube and other platforms offlate, they have increased their prices.
