Being close to Commercial Drive & Broadway, it seems many enjoy this park for a snack or drink and leave their litter behind. There are a few benches with several hundred cigarette butts tossed nearby. A playground with swings and a seating area seemed pleasant until a young mother told me she’s found more than a few needles - “so be careful and watch where you step around here.” I took her advice and moved on.
Cute park.....a few park benches and a playground for the kids. It was nice because there weren't a lot of people there. And there is this beautiful cherry blossom tree there
Decent play area. Always lots of garbage around.
I love this park! It’s an amazing park to do my counselling in ! I love it
Nice little park with benches, a block away from Commercial Drive Skytrain and the Rio theatre. Free parking. Fairly quiet.
Great place to have a toke, listen to some tunes n just chill.
We call it 'bong water' park on account of us witnessing some kids emptying their bong water in the kid's sand area. Do NOT bring your kids here. Not unless you think a mountain of cigarette butts is quaint.
Much better when no tents and junkies hanging out at the kids park. About time VPD and park's board. Do your jobs.
This park gives me the creeps in the evening sometimes. But people bring their dogs and children here. Any green space is welcome in Vancouver, I suppose. The grassy area usually is frequented by lower-income individuals spending time with their family. But in the night time it can be a haven for degenerates.
I honestly didn't know that was the name of this park, everyone has called it Pothead Park for as long as I can remember.
