Victoria Park

It was our first time to be in this park. It is nice that the playground is situated along trees. It was a nice park for birthday parties. We attended a party and there were 3 other parties going on. Absolutely nice for gathering Playground: I see that it's clean and full of shade and play areas. Restrooms: Somebody made the women's washroom sign as men's so it was a bit confusing. They covered it with sharpie. But it's great to have washrooms in the park Dog-friendliness: I see some people doesn't picked up their dog poop though Picnic area: Clean and lots of shade from trees

A flat park with a large grassy field, an excellent playground, two popular Bocce courts, plenty of shade, numerous benches, washroom facilities, and a walking path connecting to Victoria Drive. Being close to Commercial Drive, it seems many visitors enjoy a takeout lunch or drinks but are then unable to find the many well-positioned garbage cans.

Great playground for toddlers to explore and play. Less options for the older kids. There are washrooms!

Nice little green space, fairly quiet for an inner city park. Small playground area for kids, a couple bocce lanes for bocce players.

Well maintained and very green. Has restrooms as well as a few benches. Everyone was social distancing well too

This park is clean and nice, but my feelings about it are necessarily tainted by the fact that I had my heart broken there, when things ended with my past lover. They came. They left. Vancouver hadn't changed after. Yet nothing would be the same. All that remains is dreammaking and strange remembrance. Because this person is embossed on every song that was a hit that spring, in every novel I read during my stay, on anything from the smell of Vancouver rain to the sound of the crows in the afternoon—smells and sounds I’d got used to until then but that had suddenly turned on me and acquired an inflection forever colored by this encounter. Now every time I go back to Victoria Park, when I don't avoid it, I feel like this spot where we were sitting during the break up still resounds with something totally present, as though a heart stolen from a tale by Edgar Allan Poe still throbbed under the grass to remind me that, here, I had encountered a life that seemed right for me but had failed to have. Ah! The pain I have. We rip out so much of ourselves to be cured of things faster than we should that we go bankrupt by the age of thirty one and have less to offer each time we start with someone new. But to make yourself feel nothing so as not to feel anything - what a waste!

Beware lots of drugs by the picnic tables and bacce ball courts. Stick to the west side of the park closest to the bathrooms and playground if with dogs and children. However....This park is absolutely stunning. It's got a huge lawn which is great for people watching all summer long. It's very much a community-focused park most of the year, but it is full of people during the warmer months. The playground for little ones is huge and there are public washrooms, whose cleanliness is usually acceptable.

Other then a few drunk people hanging around, it's a nice park. Lots of families with happy kids.

Great park to bring the kids cause of the playground. Bathrooms also. A majority of the area is open to sit n relax and more then open to pets. Locals are friendly too :
