Garden Park

Tennis courts, playground with swings, shady benches, and a flat grassy field make this a good neighbourhood park in East Van. Playground has toddler swings which you don’t see at many other parks. A balance of sun and shade makes this an enjoyable stop anytime of the day.

I was having lunch in my car at the park and all of a sudden I hear someone trying to open my doors. The lady walked up to the driver side and realized someone was inside. She walked away and continued to look into other cars trying to open doors. I confronted her and she said she thought it was friends car. I asked her if her friends drive a different car everyday. Watch out for car thevies

James Ford Garden 1847 – 1914 was a Canadian engineer and the seventh Mayor of Vancouver, British Columbia, serving from 1898 to 1900. Under his tenure the city developed a street car system, sidewalks, road grades and water connections. Park highlights include: - Tennis courts - Soccer nets - Empty space - Thinking about that big tree that used to be in the south east corner of the park

Good sized neighborhood in park. It is named Garden Park but I spied no gardens. I guess it's named after the street its on. There are washrooms, tennis and basketball courts, fields, playground. Playground isn't one of the newest kinds but looks in good condition. There appears to be a water feature of some sort but not really sure. It's not like the wading pools you might see at other Vancouver parks, and it's much smaller. Maybe it's some sort of fountain? Saw people exercising and walking dogs.

This playground has a lot to do. There is a bigger park and a smaller one for kids under 3. There are 2 slides, regular and baby swings, lots of trees, tennis courts and a basketball court and a big soccer field. There are sometimes small toys left there for the kids to play with. There's a washroom which is ground level, but kind of small, it's usually clean and stocked with toilet paper. There is a small spray park for the summer time as well. Usually there are lots of kids to play with, depending on the time of day, there is sometimes daycare groups that go to it. It's a great place to have some fun with the kids.

Just a breath of fresh air. A time to regroup

Graden Park is a great local playground to enjoy summer at. It has bathrooms not great but stocked up and working, and a water fountain. Most importantly it is one of the shades playground in the area that make it a safe outing for a couple of hours or a whole day even on the hottest day. The waterpark is not amazing compared to some of the others, but a great addition to an already amazing park to help keep everyone cool and having fun.

Splash pad is a nice option for cooling off on hot days. Playground equipment is older, but great options for both toddlers and big kids, and lots of swings, which are always a hit

Garden park is a little community park. It is a nice place for a family picnic but you'll want to research the days you plan your visit because a few nights a week its packed with little munchkins learning soccer. The park has a fun water misting structure for kids to play in on hot days. It also had a play structure and tennis courts. A part of the tennis court is sectioned off for basketball. There is a baseball diamond and soccer nets. It is small but had a lot to offer for fun and activities. A good place for kids birthday parties or family reunions. A good spot for pokemon players too. There is a pokemon gym and 2 signs.

This park is a classic like Nas and Illmatic.
