"Family two sisters owned Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have 24 beers on tap and offer weekly specials. We have live music on Saturday, Karaoke Thursday and Friday also Trivia Night every Wednesday at 7pm. A great place to watch sports and hang out with your friends. The Village has been a restaurant since 1937, we are the 4th family, and purchased the Village in 2010. Losing our restaurant to a fire in 2017, we were very fortunate to find a new home for us and our staff in this beautiful log cabin just months later in 2017. The log cabin look is amazing. However, what I found interesting was when we asked the hostess for a table she left the desk went and checked the seating area came back and said it will be 5 minutes. We waited and when it was time to be seated the hostess brought us to our table but the thing that got me was THERE WERE AT LEAST TEN TABLES AVAILABLE in the seating area. Btw, this was the first day of no masks. Most establishments have a chart at the hostess desk and they usually have an idea on the capacity. Other than that the food was okay. The only thing I got a kick out of the place was the 80's pop/rock playing in the kitchen and hearing the kitchen staff sing along.
Friendly staff, Brett F. in the bar was fast, friendly, and attentive. We went on a busy Sunday for lunch. The wait was about 10 minutes. I LOVED the BLT and side salad!
Their food was SO GOOD I can’t wait to come back! We did have a very long wait time because we went on a Friday night and there was live music which was excellent!! but the waitstaff was very upfront about the wait time and honestly the food was worth the wait.Dine in: Yes
Only rated 4 for food and service because the upgrade to sweet potato fries for $3 with my wrap, there were about 6 fries. The chef should have done a full order since it was an upcharge, and the server shouldn't have brought out the partial...team effort. Maple bacon wings were too much maple syrup but tasty. I will return.
They nailed it! Our visit was for our sons birthday and we had 10 guests. The appetizers were good and the dinners were really good. Everyone of us was full and happy with our meals. The service was great from 1st walking in to checking out. End to end great experience. Sky sp? rocked it. She kept drinks full and got everyone the little extras when they asked for such. We will be back for more family get-to-gethers in the future.
Great food and a really homey vibe. The server was very attentive and gave great recommendations. We had the stuffed chicken and it was delicious. Even the salad was remarkable, they put dill in the ranch dressing and it is delightful. The table next to ours had an issue with their food, the staff made it right and gave them a piece of free pie. Nice to see folks taking customer service so seriously. That alone got me as a lifelong customer, and it wasn't even my order! Great beer selection, plenty of seating. Thursday is karaoke night so it was good to feel like normal times again. Will definitely be going back, what a lovely spot.
Staff was great, food was excellent, place was clean. I had the village mini lunch. It comes with 1/2 a sandwich a side and a giant slice of pie. I had a whole other meal for leftovers.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Great selection of beers and an AMAZING homemade Bloody Mary mix! The food was also terrific. Thicc quesadillas and perfectly cooked steak and eggs served until 3pm . Really great atmosphere and daily themes including karakoee night Thurs/Fri @ 7PM. Will definitely be back!
This place had amazing vibes and friendly staff. Loved the fact their menu had many friendly options for the whole family to pick from. I gave it a 3 star because for the following reason. We were not told what foods they were out of until after we sat for 15-20 minutes looking at the menu and about to order. They ran out of meatloaf and pot roast. So we has to look at the menu longer and we were on a time limit because we had tickets to go to a Christmas light showing in Standwood. After we got our food we quickly at so we didn't get to really enjoy it. My 2 burger patties with extra veggies arrived as burnt burgers. Loved the building! That was the best part of the experience.
First, I want to thank Donna for the great service provided. Second, their homemade blueberry pie was delicious! Very nice atmospher too.Food: 5/5
