2022 July 3.5 This restaurant continues to serve the community for several years. Prices are very good for the portion of meat provided. While the flavors aren't amazing, it's certainly not bad either. Famous Vietnamese Noodle Soup one item small $8.99 Option of beef or chicken stock.... Though beef is typical... Add slices of raw beef and this is great for the price House special noodle soup small $10.99 A mix of different beef items, beef soup and the veggie condiments, this is pretty good for the value. Seafood glass noodle soup small $9.99 While they were out of stock of glass noodles, the regular rice noodles are good as well. A variety of seafood plus a Vietnamese style ham. Round up for price to portion. It's reasonable, filling and decent. Worth the visit for those budget conscious. Remember to tip. It's Not included in the bill. I'm sure the server's make minimum here considering the price is pretty cheap.
I visited yesterday for a quick, casual dinner. Service was quick and efficient. I ordered the House special, small size and the fried spring rolls. The Pho was really good and pretty filling. Generous portion and great price compared to other places I visited in North York. I have eaten at this place in the past on three other occasions. Highly recommend. One waitress was intuitive; when I was thinking of asking for another napkin, she passed by, noticed and slipped a few extra to me without me having to ask. This is how good the service is.
In recent months, I visit this Vietnamese restaurant 3 times. I can make the conclusion as follows: 1. Its customer service is excellent. The staff are very helpful. Once they saw handicapped persons to come in, they would take the initiation to open the door for you. Then, they would allow you to seat the area most convenient to you. Secondly, it provides a wide variety of food for you to choose. However, not all dishes are equally good. Generally, it's fried food area much better. Thirdly, its hot drinks, whether they be coffee, tea, mixed or Vietnam coffee, they are very tasteful. This restaurant is generally full of customers during the lunch as well as you the dinner time. You must make the reservation beforehand.
We got Three Items Vermicelli, Three Items Vietnamese Noodle Soup, and Thai Boneless Chicken Feet. For Vermicelli, we got it with Shrimp on Sugar Cane, Vietnamese Spring Roll, Lemongrass Pork, the Shrimp was delicious, Sugar Cane was sweet, juicy, Spring Roll was crispy, Lemongrass Pork was flavourful, tender, drenched it in Fish Sauce, it was so AMAZING! For Vietnamese Noodle Soup, we got Raw Beef, Beef Balls, Tendons, the Meats were all tender, Beef Balls had a great texture, Broth was RICH, and the portion was PERFECT! Thai Boneless Chicken Feet was an appetizer that had Boneless Chicken Feet marinated in a Sweet, Sour, Spicy sauce, we loved it as well!
Been visiting this place for over 15 years. Nice to see they are still here. The chicken feet salad is an all-time favorite. You have to try it to understand. The vietnamese pickles are awesome too. Lemongrass chicken wings are delicious. The beef skewers are soft and tender. They taste better even a few hours later. The lemongrass beef pho is okay, the original style is our preference. Parking: Don't come during rush hours if you want to find a parking space.
I've been coming here for years and the food has been consistent from when I first discovered this place before they expanded and renovated. They have a large menu but I usually order the same things. Portions are filling and flavours are there, with th accompaniments of hoisin and hot sauce. Nothing seems to have changed over the years other than pricing. Open and spacious dining area that accommodates everyone. The servers are very friendly and inviting. Usual order: 1103 - Raw beef & ketchup beef brisket pho 1103 - raw beef & beef ball Curry fish balls with roti Vermicelli with shrimp of sugar cane, fried chicken, fried spring roll Fried chicken cutlet with rice Viet spring rolls
It truly pains me to say this, especially when others may enjoy this restaurant, but it’s not for me. I used to dine here regularly over 15 years ago, but stopped. I decided to give it another try, after visiting a friend in the area. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but the service was brisk. I found the pho lacking in flavor, and the bowl was very shallow, hence smaller portions. The bbq pork with vermicelli had an excessive amount of noodles, and I ended up scooping most of it out! I found the dishes lack authentic Vietnamese flavors, and was not impressed at all. They do insist on tips, and will stand at your table with the machine and watch you. I get it, the service and restaurant industry has been hit hard, and we always tip generously, but I don’t agree to the aggressive way they go about it. I’m a huge supporter of small businesses, but personally would not return here.
A legacy pho restaurant in Scarborough. Food has been consistent since it first opened. Staff are friendly and service is quick. The menu can be overwhelming, so I normally just get the special pho and spring rolls. Pineapple fried rice is also a very popular item.
Never disappoints. Have been coming here since I was young and we always order pho. Very consistent in terms of taste, quality and quantity. I love that the meat is soft unlike some places where the meat becomes too chewy. Have yet to try other dishes, as the price for appetizers such as the shrimp rolls 2 pieces is quite high compared to others that give 4 pieces. But overall, great place for a quick bite.
Fast and friendly service. Got the Pad Thai and Fresh Spring Rolls. The Pad Thai was a little on the sweet side for me but was still good once I added their tasty chili oil. They also have AC, so it's nice and cool to enjoy hot food, especially during summer.
