Came here with someone that loves Lousifen. Personally was never a fan of rice noodles and l actually enjoyed it at this place. Managed to finished everything, so that’s a solid for me. We visited during their soft opening, the staff was friendly, but some items couldn’t be ordered. I would definitely just stick with the noodles though, the side dishes are average.
Authentic snail rice noodles with deep fried egg, the egg is fluffy and absorbs all that delicious soup. The noodle soup tastes way better than the package snail noodles. We also ordered duck feet to go with the noodles, they are well seasoned and has a nice texture. Overall great restaurant!
The fried egg is very delicious, spicy beef as well! Not sure why some of the previous reviews were bad, but we had a very nice server today who let us try a new side dish and checked on whether the flavours were good. They also gave free soy milk with the rice noodle. Overall we had a good experience.
Server didn't know much English but was very polite and had great customer service. Food was amazing. Had the spicy beef brisket noodles and it is one of the best beef noodle soups I've had to date. Went before it got busy, just a few people in the restaurant at the time and was quite quiet.
I saw there are so many negative reviews for this restaurant so I decided to go by myself and take a look. I would say the food and the soup are normal but not as terrible as others commented. But there’s one thing I wanna highlight, others are complaining the waiters and waitresses had bad service but they were super nice and friendly to me, so I wanna kind of correct this wrong impression of this place.
Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 3 pm, staff was very attentive to our needs and the food came really quickly. The snail noodle broth was lacking a bit of the snail flavour maybe because I got mild hot, but it felt very clean and did not give me the sick feeling that some other noodle soup restaurant food gives. The quality of the ingredients used inside the soup were top notch, 10/10 would come back.
This was so different, but absolutely the best spicy beef noodle soup I have ever had. The sides of green onions and coriander can't be beat. I adore coriander and that broth was something truly special.Food: 5/5
Very clean. Delicious food and excellent customer service. Love this place!Food: 5/5
Been craving snail noodles but hard to find the real thing in Toronto outside of overly salty processed instant noodles. Currently pregnant so I am quite selective about healthy and not too pugent haha food, happy we came here. My partner was reluctant to come at first due to the smell of the instant noodles had left on our place, but became a convert at this place! The classic snail noodle soup was flavourful with lots of slippery rice noodles and toppings can pay for add one - recommend the tofu pocket and bamboo. It was much much better than my homemade version - even my partner enjoyed it. Ours came with 5 snails in the shells which you can pick out with a tooth pick. Loved the pick-your-own side dish/topping/sauce station - the extra peanuts in the noodles added a great crunch and taste. Service was very fast and kind. The prices were affordable. The portions are big, delicious and filling. Also for fellow parents, we came with 2 picky eater little kids 3 & 5. They loved the peanuts and the tasty chewy plain noodles the sesame creamy broth was a bit hit; even asked for more after sharing a big bowl. Lots of room for strollers. There were other families getting their cravings filled. The portions are big, delicious and filling. Will def be back! Vegetarian options: Plain noodles are very chewy and flavourful with some vegetables. The noodle options can come with a lot of vegetables, a variety of tofu options, and changeable stock. Kid-friendliness: Brought 2 little kids with no problem. Plenty of room for stroller and staff are very kind to families. Kids loved the plain noodles and peanuts. Wheelchair accessibility: Two sets of doors but lots of room to navigate. No curb at entrance.
1. If it is called “spicy rice noodle”, it tastes okay; however, if “snail rice noodle”, then “Not authentic”. Btw, pork feet tastes delicious. So, overall, okay taste. 2. Poor service and seems to be short of staff when there are only serval tables in the restaurant not even lineups. It took 5 mins for the 2nd rice noodle to arrive after the first one although both were ordered same time. Meanwhile, no table service: you have to come to the front to ask for everything e.g. rice noodle refill, napkins; no compliment soy drink as listed/advertised on the menu and when asked, the server just replied ”yes?!” in Chinese”” but the drink never came and no further explanations. So, I just checked the bill and ended this unpleasant dining experience instead of wasting my time. 3. The same night, feel thirsty probly due to MSG meantime have a running and churning stomach thanks for giving me the ticket to “enjoy” my toilet experience. Same issue with my GF who had the meal with me. I on average dine outside at least three times a week and I never have had such stomach problem even I ate very spicy oily food e.g. hotpot and Sichuan Cuisine. Overall, Not recommended and won’t revisit.
