One of the best rice noodle. Their most famous one is Huaxi beef rice noodle. Soup is great with Guiyang flavor. Real soup. Spicy chicken are so popular but need one day ahead reservation if you want to real dish. There are small dish available if just want to try. Not Sichuan spicy chicken but taste fantastic.
We were a party of 3. We ordered 2 bowls of beef noodles and a pork nuggets. They just gave us 2 napkins, 2 spoons and 3 pairs of chopsticks. The beef noodles were good and the soup was not too salty. The pork nuggets were tough and there was not much meat in each piece. The decor was decent. Service was lacking. We need to ask for water and an extra bowl.
I came to dine on their beef rice noodles with tofu add-on since I immigrated from Gui Yang and it is hard to find local dishes from a small province in China. To fully enjoy the noodles, you should take your time and taste each component, starting with tasting the soup. I found the soup extremely delicious and flavorful, very authentic factoring some ingredients are from Canada. The rice noodle is cooked on point with some chewiness. There was plenty of beef although I would prefer it to be more seasoned. Condiments are not required but it introduces a new dimension to the experience if you add a small amount of dry pepper flakes and peppercorn powder Overall, I thoroughly enjoy the beef rice noodles and would come back to try the spicy chicken. Please do not mistake Gui Yang spicy chicken as Si Chuan spicy chicken. Authentic Gui Yang spicy chicken is not deep fried. Treating all spicy chicken as the same is culturally insensitive. Ask the server for tips if you don't know how to best enjoy the food.
Very nice service here, I was suggested for getting different types of noodle to begin with, because it’s risky if I don’t like their traditional white noodles since I’ve never had it in my life, and it came out surprisingly delicious. Highly recommend the spicy beef brisket with white noodles. Can’t go wrong with this place!
Decent food. Not very authentic Huaxi style but overall good quality food with cheap price.Food: 4/5
Very traditional Guiyang beef noodle soup. Reminds me of my parents' cooking in my childhood.
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Ordered for pick up and the food was prepared fast with fresh ingredients! The soup has a great aroma with a hint of peppercorn. Menu has have option of wheat noodles or rice noodles, additional portion can be added on as well. Eating this brought back so many great memories of . Thank you so much for bringing GuiYan here! I would recommend the spicy beef soup with wheat noodle and the potato side dish. Can’t wait to come back again
Restaurant decoration is modern. Quality of the soup is very poor. Broth is very sour and lots of MSG. Beef tasted not fresh. Noodle can be refilled which is a positive. I would not recommend. For the price, there are better options.
i have to make this review because someone complaint about the food this place serving. As a originally GUIYANG born kid, i love my home town and love the food from my hometown. the food from this place reminds me a lot of my memories of my childhood. i just want to state that "DO NOT judge a traditional Chinese local food when you have never been to the place and taste the food". P.S. when you cannot tell the differences between MSG and SPICE, you seriously need to see a doctor.
Super authentic rice noodles taste exactly like how I remembered them as a child. They even gave us a free dish upon hearing my parents were from the same province.
