It was okay. Ordered the chicken cartilage, stir-fried crab noodle, and the fish tacos not pictured and everything looked delicious but lacked flavour. The fish tacos in particular disappointed as you couldn't really taste the fish and instead mostly tasted mayo. The stir-fried crab noodle stood out as the better of the three, but not by much. Had a good kick to it though. All that said, the atmosphere was nice, the service fantastic, and the price point was pretty good for the portion sizes. I also really liked the cold tea they provided. I really wanted to like the place, but the food just wasn't up to par.
Came here for dinner on a weekday and there was no one else here when I arrived. Service was quick and the server was nice, she made a few recommendations. Menu is kinda small but I ended up choosing the fish tacos, chicken cartilage and a peach lemongrass iced tea. The tacos were tasty and very flavourful, but I didn't know it would come deep-fried and would've preferred if it wasn't. The chicken cartilage is one of their popular appetizers but I didn't really enjoy it. The cocktail on the other hand was really tasty! Their drink menu is very interesting. Parking is free but hard to find a spot in this plaza. The bill came to almost $40 with tax. Interior has a casual bar type feel? Nice ambience, dimmed lights and they have a nice name sign on the wall, but it's too bad that CHOI is covered up by a light fixture. Overall, not bad and something different from other Vietnamese restaurants.
Really great dining experience here. As the server was explaining to us it’s very close to old school authentic Vietnamese Street food. Portions were very good and everything was very tasty. We even tried a few drink, which were also nice. The menu isn’t huge but it was 5 of us and we came away stuffed. A few if the dishes were large enough for sharing as well. Definitely recommend you try here at least once.
This cosy place is very nice. Their drinks are really good, today I got lucky, with purchase of snacks there free drinks. Love the decor here. Foods here are not bad. I would like to try their hot pot next time. I do really like their rice paper slaw. The other items are alright.
Great ambience, good food and unique menu items. Definitely a good spot to have a low key dinner date. This gem spot is hidden in the corner of a busy palaza, unfortunately and deserves more attention. The Food: The Noodle Bowl - Came with tofu, pork belly & fish cake. Great for 1.5 people The Chicken Cartilage - Came out hot, crunchy & fresh. Weirdly kept tasting better the more you ate it. The Fruit Rolls - All items were great but this was the most surprising & best value item imo, definitely one of the most unique usage combinations of Crab & Mango. Very Tasty, Crunchy & Filling for an appetizer. Padan Coconut Lemonade - As other said, it's such a unique blend of flavors, the ingredients all balance each other. Definitely a try for non alcohol option. Also to add their service was top notch. Will definitely be back! To try out their other food options & Tacos next!
If they can't handle opening the place on a Sunday for 4 people and 2 tables they shouldn't open it at all. Running out of a lot of things on a Sunday brunch menu on a Sunday does that even make sense? Food is marginal quite salty to be exact. Long wait for food. Korean fried chicken a few restaurant down give you more pieces and choices of flavors for less and the quality is comparable. You won't get what you paid for.
Great place for a drink and snack food especially late dinner. Cute décor with lanterns hanging at the entrance, it had a cool street vibe on the inside. The Fish taco was bomb and you wouldn't have never known it has fish sauce until the end.
We ordered tons a dishes here and the ones that really stood out were their Vietnamese tacos the shrimp one was my favourite and their drinks both the Pandan lemonade and Pandan Colada were great though quite sweet. I would definitely come back just for the shrimp tacos and drinks. Other dishes that I also enjoyed and may be worth trying include the Fruit Rolls deep fried crab meat and fruit salad - weird but kind of good, and their Viet style stir fried corn. The remaining dishes were good, but didn’t really stand out to us. These include the Vermicelli Lemongrass Beef Bowl although the seasoned soft boiled egg that it came with was really good, stir fried crab noodle, and the garlicky fish balls. We also got the Saigon roll which made me realize that I’m not too fond of jicama. The service was extremely slow when we ate here Friday night dinner and there were only 2 other tables besides ours that were eating at the restaurant so it wasn’t busy at, even though other restaurants in the plaza were packed. But we weren’t in a hurry and they explained that they were unfortunately understaffed for the evening. I’m doubtful that service is any faster any other day but this seems like a great place to just chill with friends over drinks and tacos.
Great Vietnamese food! Me and my friends shared a meat lovers' barbecue which I think is a fair amount for 2 grown men. I was impressed by the spread it came with unfortunately I forgot to take a photo before digging in. My only qualm is that the barbecue stove wasn't the best but the food was! I also tried the coconut coffee slush and that was really good! It also lasted me the entire meal which rarely happens when I eat barbecue so that's a plus!
Really delicious food!!! Drinks were amazing, we got the Strawberry Sting and Peach Lemongrass Iced Tea. Didn't take a photo of some of the dishes like the beef tacos because we ate all of it before I could remember to take a snap on my camera. You'll definitely have some instagram worthy food shots here. I would say the fish balls are a must try. Some of the photos are half eaten because the food was soo good. Service was also great!! Definitely a spot I'd recommend to friends. Found this place on BlogTo
