Varka Restaurant

I really cannot comprehend what is wrong with people that they would pay so much money for such a nonchalant menu. Is it the location? Atmosphere? The fact that this place has such a high rating reiterates that people will pay top dollar for mediocre food. Stop being snobby about the price, and start expecting more from your chef.

I like to spend my money at local business who are honest. My company sold a failed location (that never even opened) for the owner of this place. He never paid my company for our services and now I have to chase him in court to get paid. Not my idea of honest or trustworthy. I won't be back here. Ever.

As a seafood lover I enjoyed grabbing dinner here. Fresh fish you can actually choose and see before it gets cooked.

Go for the Octopus, stay for the rest of the menu. Have been to several Greek restaurants in Bergen County and this is a standout. Bartenders are super friendly.

great ambience and descent service. loved their octopus appetizer, the bread and oil was great, the rest of the meals (lamb chops, steak and porkchop) were ok but nothing spectucular as far as flavor although they were cooked perfect. They are pricey but that was expected.
