Greek City Restaurant

Excellent food! Don't judge this place based on its outside appearance. Although it appears plain before you enter, the inside is extremely well decorated and laid out. Great place for a date. Appetizers, main courses, and desserts are all very good and filling (every time I go in on the bread, I'm guaranteed to fill up early and take a chunk of the meal home for the next day's lunch or dinner). Staff has always been nice here, as well.

Food was “exceptionally good” and flavorful! The storefront a little deceptive. I thought because it was located in a strip mall setting, that the establishment was going to be more of a fast food type of place. But to my surprise it turned out to be a sit down; comfortable, pleasant dining experience. Portions are plentiful; and did awesome!! Staff was great too!...very important!! Let me put it this way: This place is in my favorites and I live in another state hours away. But if I’m in the Jersey area and within a 60 to 90 minute drive...this is where I’m dining!!

My girlfriend and I ordered a Gyro platter and they charged me $ 1.00 for an extra side Tzatziki sauce. Also, the Greek salad was missing the Greek Feta cheese and the Greek olives. Does not make good business sense to charge $ 1.00 to customers who drive all the way from New York to Ramsey, N.J. to eat Greek food (I had to pay the toll George Washington Bridge $15.00 to get back to NY). I will not go back to this place because they overcharge me $ 1.00. Most other Greek restaurants do not charge $ 1.00 for a side of Tzatziki sauce. For example, Lefteris Gyro in Yonkers, New York (242 Market Street, Yonkers, NY 10710 phone number (914) 437-8490) the food was great and the service was fast and they do not charge me $ 1.00 for an extra Tzatziki sauce me. Also Lefteris Gyro puts feta cheese and olives on their Greek salads.
