Maybe I didn’t catch them on a good day, but our food was mediocre. Attached are the photos. The salad and soup were very good and also the pork katsu. The only thing is the cheese wontons were flat and tasted as it frozen for a while and flash fried. Also the sushi was chewy and didn’t seem as fresh. Although, service was quick!
I was definitely full after this meal... Full of regrets. Ordered two crunch rolls, torched salmon, and deep fried seafood croutons bites. The torched salmon... Well, it's got the torched taste. That's about it. It's the best of the lot. The crunch roll sounded way better than it tasted. The entire roll is deep fried and warm, the spicy salmon looked like mush. I couldn't even tell there was eel inside. The croutons bites were so hard and dry I didn't even know what the "seafood" inside was. Reminds me of a 10 day old chicken nugget. Do not eat here if you want to enjoy your sushi.
I usually order Urawa Torched Salmon sushi from here and it is pretty decent. However, today I ordered Tuna Sushi Pizza and I was totally disgusted. First of all, it looked completely different from the picture they showed online and even thought their picture was salmon and I ordered Tuna, it definitely shouldn't look like some deep sea creature slimy sushi. Tasted gross too. Threw it away to trash immediately. Never ordering from here again.
Honestly I wish I had read the review before ordering on ubereats, I had ordered the crabmeat sushi roll, and the buy 1 get 1 free salmon sushi rolls. I don't know how they managed but the crabmeat tasted burnt and extremely dry and boy can I go on about the salmon rolls. They were absolutely disgusting and probably the worst I've ever had, the consistency was all mushy and breaking apart and had very fishy and just plain out tasted old. Got nauseated just after eating half then threw out the other half. All I'm hoping is not to get sick. This place just seems like a health hazard to me.
This is one of those restaurants that regrettably use sushi for profit. Terrible quality and dismissive service is a given, but Urawa sushi is the worst of them all. They are blatantly cheap from their food presentation to quality. We ordered $80 worth of food - 4 trays of sushi, Gyu Don, shrimp tempura and yam tempura, all in which were absolutely terrible. We were shocked to see that they charged premium price for Gyu Don $18 which consisted of mostly rice, a few strips of dry meat and boiled egg that barely had any yolk. Oh, and no sauce! Funny enough, they were way worse in every way than $10 H mart bowls. They are actually decent. Tempuras were cold and tasted like nothing but batter and oil. Crunch rolls were soggy and fishy. The sashimi rolls were not surprisingly fishy as the sashimi was clearly frozen or old. The worst part of ALL of this, is that they used the ends of the sashimi cut in thin half pieces to try to save some money. Not to mention, they didn't include dressing for the salad, and only included 1 wasabi for 4 trays. Jim, whom I spoke to over the phone sounded very annoyed that I was complaining about these issues above, pointing out that they were 'buy 1 get 1 free'. Thank you for arguing with me that the fish is fresh, when they clearly weren't. Oh, and the gyu don? Why complain when that's the standard size? Yuck.
We ordered the assorted party tray sushi, sashimi & roll 100pcs for $55 after discount & tax included. If you pay by cash, there is a 15% discount. You can call to order in advance. The food was ok but of course it was not top quality because you get what you paid you.
Come on. I can't understand why people complaint about value trays of sushis on promotion. They are the best value guys ever. I didn't go for the cheap ones and they REALLY efforts for me. The foods are so fresh and high quality. The shrimps are as good as what I had in premium omakese - I am taking about $380 per person level quality of shrimp. Tuna is great also. I think they make fresh wasabis in house because they are so fresh and much stronger than normal ones from other places. Soy sauce is different and imo also better. Definitely a hidden gem!!!! Must try guys look at the pictures. I don't know who they got in the way with to get this fake score. But try them yourselves, you won't regret. I feel bad to see this weird score and I have to leave an honest review for these folks.
The worst sushi place I’ve ever been to. The bento boxes are made out of cheap plastic, the salmon is brown and tastes like stinky socks, the bathroom is very dirty and stinks also. Not to add, the atmosphere in the restaurant was very uncomfortable and creepy, dirty plates everywhere, staff are weirdos. Felt like I was playing Russian roulette of whether I’ll get food poisoning or not eating here. Horrible experience.
Horrible. Took over an hour for delivery and when it came I couldn’t even eat it. Waste of time and money. Brown lettuce in the salad, rolls looked like they were smashed together and the shrimp was old and looked mouldy.
Fish tasted like it had come out of the freezer and was just put on a platter to defrost. The rolls had too much rice. Although the price was great, I would've paid more for something that was better.
