I haven't tried their cakes much since my first experience when them when they opened this location, I found their cakes didn't taste as good as their downtown location but recently I gave them another try and was pleasantly surprised. Their cakes was very moist, soft and delicious. Especially love their matcha ones. Would definitely be coming back to this location for more cakes!
Their cheesecakes has a fluffy and soft texture with right amount of sugar, the original cheesecake comes in a small size which I think it's 5inch and they don't serve bigger, the price for this cake is increased to $14 which I think it's a lit bit overpriced, but the quality and packaging is good. And about this location, the staffs are so nice and friendly, but yesterday their system was down and only was accepteing cash.
OMG...I love their matcha cheesecake! It's a must try but the matcha flavor is only available on Monday. It took us a while to find their entrance, we didn't pay attention to their sign they have the word "here" pointing to the right. It's all the way on the right side of the Pacific mall main entrance door. P.S. they accept credit card
In terms of the food, the Madeleine was tasty but rather dry. The cheese tart was too cheesy and too runny for my liking. We got to try out the limited edition Yuzu cheesecake and it tasted great! But to our surprise, we found a piece of paper in the cheesecake see picture. Not good. As for the service, we spoke to the employee in Mandarin since the person before spoke to them in Mandarin, but they replied to me in English. That's fine, but their accent was quite difficult to understand. Perhaps the person spoke mainly Cantonese. It made the ordering rather confusing. Overall, the experience was disappointing. We been to many Uncle Tetsu locations and this was the definitely the worst.
It's wild to see that years later uncle tetsu is still busy enough to have them run out of menu items . That said the food was fantastic as always, I finally got to try the Cheese tart and Madeline. Great taste, made me want to try the rest of the menu. Will be back.
do not go there as you asked for regular cheesecake they gave you coffee cheesecake instead, very disappointed and bad experience. we went there today at around 2pm Oct 12th to buy two regular cheesecake, the casher asked us if we want the coffee cheesecake we look at it and say NO, but they still packed us two coffee cheesecake, this coffee one is very bad, too wet very bed quality, maybe he don't understand the word "NO' anyway if you don't want to spoil your afternoon tea, do not buy from there.
Absolutely love their matcha cheesecake! The flavour of the matcha is very light and subtle, not overpowering or bitter at all. The cake itself is very soft and airy too! I can definitely eat the whole cake in one sitting if left unattended! Their original cheesecake is good too, but I personally find the matcha flavour tastier than the original. Also, the matcha cheesecake is only available on Mondays. Both the original cheesecake and the matcha cheesecake are $14.00 no tax! Definitely will be revisiting on Mondays more frequently to get that delicious matcha cake!
Best cheese cakes franchise ever. Too fresh and soft.
Great cheesecake. Got the original one. Will try another flavour next time. Cheese tarts are good but too watery.
I honestly don't get the hype. This was my 3rd time trying this place and it just isn't good? I got the yuzu one instead of the plain type this time, and it was just... bitter. Otherwise, it was flavourless and bland. It also tasted like it had been sitting out all day. I ended up throwing out half of it. The texture is nothing special either. Service was prompt though. I love a good cheesecake of many different kinds but other Japanese cheesecake in this city has been better.
