A bit pricey so we took advantage of their 3rd anniversary 50% off deal. Great double layer fromage cake normally $20 for 4.5inch and matcha tiramisu normally $21 and it’s very tiny. Worth a try.
I tried the Matcha Tiramisu and it was maybe the best dessert I have ever tried! I was very impressed the layered textures and it was absolutely delicious. After trying the Tiramisu I am for sure returning to try their full cakes. The staff on-site was super friendly, and the storefront was clean and very pretty.
Surprisingly there was no line at all today! Got this Uji Matcha Tiramisu to go glad it didn't melt since the weather was nice and warm today. They had a separate container for the Uji Matcha powder that is normally sprinkled on top. Very considerate as the powder would've otherwise became soggy by the time we got home. I found that the matcha flavour from the powder as well as the bottom layer inside their Tiramisu was stronger than their matcha double fromage. We also got a buy one get one 50% off coupon to be used for our next visit. Whenever craving for a matcha dessert from now on, this will be on my list :
After trying Uncle Tetsu cheesecake, I was a little gun shy since it wasn't really the best and I thought that all Japanese cheesecakes were at that level. Boy was I wrong wrong wrong. My Toronto friends brought me to Cheese Garden because they said it was the best, and reassured me that Uncle Tetsu was pretty much at the bottom of their cheesecake list. I was happy to hear that, and when I tried the Cheese Garden cheesecake, it changed my whole outlook on Japanese cheesecakes. The original already had more flavor than Uncle Tetsu, the cheese flavor was a lot stronger, but the matcha double fromage cheesecake was the star of the show. That one had layers of cheese and the texture was so creamy, it has now become my favorite cheesecake. I would probably go back to Toronto for it. I'll stop writing the word "cheesecake" now.
Very friendly service. Pastry cheese puff was very flaky and delicious. The Macha cheese tiramisu was not bad, but very creative.
Drove all the way there on a Thursday afternoon to realize they are CLOSED! Nothing is announced on the social media ahead.. until later of that night. We called the nearby location Midland and Finch and all the deserts were already sold out. No luck for us
I went with my mother to buy the Cheese Tart, and loved the taste, however the next day had severe food poisoning. Purchased on January 20th, 2019, I think it may have been closer to end of the day 5PM. The taste was great but I would not go back to this location again.
Pretty good cheese cakes much better than uncle tetsu but taste is personal. I find most cakes too sweet but this cake is not. The large white one is made to order. Only 2 or 3 flavours. Very small booth in Pacific mall. Needs a location in Richmond hill or Markham.
Matcha Tiramisu was ok, felt discomfort in stomach afterwards, may go back to give them another chance
Food poisoning from the Egg Tart Cheesecake this past week.
