After a two and a half month road trip with a rooftop tent, camping in a variety of locations, Two Medicine Campground was by far our favorite. We camped in Loop B right by Pray Lake. Everything about this campground was wonderful. Each campsite offered a relative amount of privacy, a picnic table, and a fire ring. The bathrooms here are standard vault toilets, but they are well maintained. Big horn sheep families would come through the campground and graze at whatever they could find. There were plenty of level ground spots for tent campers. Very peaceful area and so quiet. Highly recommend sitting by the water's edge at Pray Lake, and doing the 7 mile hike all the way up and around Two Medicine Lake. The trailhead is just by the campground. We arrived on Thursday, September 28th and stayed for two wonderful nights. We got there around 3 PM and got one of the last well located spots just by the water. Absolutely stay here if you ever have the chance!!!

This was our favorite campground in the park. Also, during the month of May it has far fewer mosquitoes. There is great hiking trails for every level that connect to this campground.

Nice park and lakes, wonderful hikes but beware #cockyandzealous law enforcement rangers won't hesitate to spoil your experience in a hurry whenever they can - and make the other rangers look bad in the process! Common sense isn't some of their thing obviously. We weren't there to damage the park. We are respectful people and my kids earned their Ranger badge while we were there but that didn't prevent one of them from handing me an 'offroading ticket' because I had 2 of my tires on packed dead grass in a gravel parking lot! This one LEO probably hang out there waiting to get the unsuspecting tourist to park there as it makes sense to park there and doesn't damage nothing. He was so proud to tell me he was going to ticket the other 2 cars parked next to me! This happened while I was hiking with the family and we likely ran into the other car owners along the way - also respectful people visiting the park.
Since he STOLE money from me I am going to go out of my way next year and avoid spending money in Montana. Will drive strait into Wyoming instead...

Best views you could ask for in a campsite. There are many trails and mountains to see right when you step out of the tent. We also saw two bighorn sheep right in the campsite! There is currently a restriction on campfires so be sure to bring a propane stove.
