Pretty good place Very quiet which we love. Things look a little glum with all the dead trees on the ground and of course dead grass in this drought. Bathrooms aren't bad. This is pretty common in a lot state parks we've seen but the showers have one option. On! And its hot! 40ft fifth wheel fit nicely in spot 17 and in the afternoon there was a bit of shade. Enjoyed our stay and we would definitely return. 28 a night is a definite plus.
This is a great place for exploring nature and experiencing true solitude and peace. The bumblebees on the button bush are beautiful in the summer.
We had a wonderful visit to the campground. The lots are large and isolated. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind, this is the place.
Nice location, full of wildlife but the Bathrooms were unusable. The first time I went at night, all sorts of bugs were landing on me including spiders on my head. During the day, wasps kept me from going in. I have camped in many places over several decades and never had an issue like this.
Loved our stay here the view from our door was phenomenal and well shaded. If you want to go fishing be sure to expect to have to travel to the day use area as there are only steep bluffs or driftwood cluttered embankments. The hiking trail isn't maintained at all.
No frills place to stay.. we were safe, it was clean... just not much more. No signs to tell you where to turn to find your site so we ended up in the back 9... old sites, scared my kids to death... but that’s how you make memories right? Eventually we found our site and got set up. Nice and quiet... the step down from the camper to the driveway was a little rough, as the edge had a big drop off... but all in all we would stay here again.
Our family goes on a cross-country roadtrip every summer. We have stayed in RV parks across the US, in nearly every state minus just a few. Reynolds Creek is hands down one of the nicest parks we have stayed in! The view from the site was beautiful. Sites were large and strategically placed bearing RV placement in mind. The woman at the front gate was kind and very pleasant. We would definitely recommend this park to others!
This is our first trip to this park. We got here at about 9pm. Luckily, the rangers were here, as we needed their help to find our camping site. We stayed in site 43. The site is situated on an outcropping on the lake surrounded by creeks. The jetty of land where site 43 was situated, also had sites 41 and 42. These areas are grassy, no asphalt. The last 3 site groupings are the same. All the other sites are developed. We drove around and found we also liked site 34, 36, and 37. The bathrooms were clean and the staff and rangers were amazing. The only draw back was in my opinion, lack of signage. I wish there were more signs telling us where to go. I missed the turn fir the camping sites a couple of times. Just so you know, turn left as soon as you pass the gate station. All in all, while the unpaved was a bit different for us, we loved our site. It's on the lake, with great lake views, a covered picnic table eating area, with a 50 amp plug and water. Now, if it was raining, I would definitely choose paved vs. unpaved. Next time we will bring our boat and possibly the kayaks too! Cost $22 daily
Quiet, nice amenities, lots of deer. Clean dump station. Poor cellular signal, which is a nice place to disconnect.
Long driveways, it would be nice if they thinned some of the branches to enhance the lake view. I thought we would be able to access the water but it’s a very steep climb down. We were only here an afternoon and night, 15 minutes from Waco and Magnolia Table and Marketplace.
