Room was clean. Check in was easy and nice people at the front. Breakfast was available. The price was easy. The location coming off of the Nanaimo ferry was real easy. I'd come back for sure. It'd be nice if there was a bar honestly but otherwise it was a nice service. The best part is they actually have good cameras covering the parking lot at night. So your car is well protected.
This is a great place! Pet friendly!nI want to especially give a BIG thank you so much to Havel for your warm welcome, & friendly disposition! You were very kind, & my little dog & I felt like we were very welcome & at home.nMoreover, the room was awesome; the whole set-up was excellent... I loved how the towels were artistically folded. The bed was super comfy/lots of pillows.nI skipped the continental breakfast, but that is a nice service to have....there just is really everything you would need to be comfortable. I highly recommend this place!
The hotel is close to everything. Perfectly located. We had a kitchenette, which worked great for us as we were in town for a conference, and ready to call it a day after the event. Great to warm up a quick dinner. The refrigerator was bigger than a typical room and it had a small freezer. Compact but everything we needed. The hotel is definitely a bit worn , but our room was very clean.
A nice surprise. Room was certainly better than the impression I got from the outside of the building.nIt does need some updating but overall we enjoyed our stay and found it comfortable and quiet.nStaff working the breakfast room are extremely efficient at keeping it stocked. However, despite our towels being changed, our bed was never made.nGood location for walking along the waterfront and very convenient for Departure Bay Ferry terminal.
The hotel desk staff refused to check me in unless I paid the amount on a debt card in full even though there was already the full amount pre-authorized on my credit card. Then they refused to cancel the reservation. Very poor service. I have made a complaint to Wyndham properties. The hotel is refusing to return the pre-authorization. The hotel is old, smells awful and is very dirty.
