Days Inn by Wyndham Nanaimo

Had a good stay in Days in Nanaimo visiting for a volleyball tournament. Convenient location, only 15 min from the Duke Point ferry terminal. Good size rooms. Clean.plenty of parking. Nice pool. Friendly and professional service.

Friendly, clean place. Also, the pool is salty, not murky. Maybe the review was mistaken or maybe it’s all been thoroughly cleaned but I think it’s the former. Laundry, restaurant, decent wi-go (but maybe that’s because the hotel is near empty today but it is good) :::I will mention, that although Ricky’s restaurant was quite enjoyable, I hope they will put their selves in my shoes for my complaint. With steak and eggs, unless it’s horribly undercooked or wrong, i won’t be returning it. It was however, clearly not cooked as to specifications. I’m not after a free lunch here but there should be some compensation for the mistake, even if I’m complaining after (and I didn’t finish, you can see it’s rare), to leave a better taste in my mouth. Took off a star because it happens but it wasn’t really made right.

The Days Inn in Nanaimo is a great place to stop and stay or just stop at have something to eat. The staff and management are the most courteous people that I have ever met. When business people are nice and friendly and caring, one will support them. I have learned one thing over the years about businesses and that it is it's the people who work there that make you want to come back. The Days Inn in Nanaimo is one such place... Good People, Good Food and a Good Place to stop..

Clean placebfriendly staff quiet and accomondated me and my family no problem since i have twin babies and an older kid..some places were just like nope!

We missed the later ferry due to 3hrs waiting in traffic. We were tired and even though we had reservations in Abbotsford we decided to just hotel it in Nanaimo and get at it bright an early. The fact that Rickys restaurant is in this hotel made the decision to stay here. We hadn't really eaten this day and it wasn't super late we just had a terrible long day up crazy early too.. So we luckily got the last room!! Went for food. It was standard Rickys. Good food. Then wanted to swim. And this is my only legit complaint. The pool water was very merky and the hot tub had black in the grout. Wasn't inviting. So we didn't swim. The was a bummer... But other than tht. The price is about $150. Small rooms. Super tiny bathroom. In our room anyways. The bed though awesome so comfortable. They have ac units fridge microwave and a keurig. Remember to ask for extra sugar and coffee whitener packs of you want more than one cup. They only left one condiment pack. But I had the coffee so no problem for me LOL.. The customer service was spot on. The room was clean. Its a bit dated but thts a norm on the island. Over all happy we pulled in here and had a good sleep.
