Trattoria Gusto

We had a wonderful late lunch at Trattoria Gusto in Port Hope. The warm, cozy atmosphere and the view by the river made it a memorable experience.nnWe started with the Brussel Sprouts Fritt, which was crispy and delicious with a great mix of lemon and caper aioli. For our main courses, we tried the Striscia Di Tucson, a perfectly cooked striploin steak with bone marrow butter, and the Filetto Di Manzo, a tender beef tenderloin in a rich marsala mushroom sauce. The Barramundi Acqua Pazza with seared sea bass and mussels was light and flavorful, and the Tomahawk Pork Chop was juicy with a unique ancho espresso rub.nnOur waitress was friendly, and overall, the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Amazing food here! Incredible pizza and calamari fritti! But 2 stars off for their poor customer service.nnTry their pizze la zucca - butternut squash cream base with goat cheese, arugula and fried eggplant!nn Poor customer service. I understand that they are busy. But at least get some water for your customers please. No one came by to check for orders and waters after we got seated…

Amazing restaurant with great service. A little slow on service speed but we didn’t mind that, as were seated outside in patio enjoying the Ganaraska river flow by! Food was great and our host was very friendly. I spilled my drink by mistake which was replaced at no charge immediately.

We just held a small wedding dinner in the restaurants side room for 25 people. Amazing room and atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and always floating around.nFood is amazing. Everyone was talking about their meal at the reception and how much they enjoyed it.nPrices are very reasonable for the portion you get. I have dined here one time prior and both times brought left overs for later. Cannot stress how good this place is.nnAs for the wedding dinner, thank you to the chefs, staff and Nisa! 100% will be back again!
