Went in on a Monday night for open mic and to see some friends perform. The beer was cold and the entertainment was pleasant.

Ahhh the Ganny! So many good memories! It's a local legend this place and a great bar to drop in on to hear live music on the weekend. Yes, of course it's a bit of a dive and you eat the pickled eggs behind the counter at your own risk - but it's charming somehow and you're guaranteed to bump into somebody you know if you grew up in Port Hope.

Great place for friends too meet play cards or just enjoy a cold beer ! Wednesday is live music as well as the weekend consisting of local bands . SO COME ON IN AND JOIN IN ON THE FUN..

First time warching there to watch Coda. Nice place with old style tavern interior. Needs to remove posts from front of stage and perhaps offer some snack style food. Will be back.

Pros - Really good staff and selection of drinks and decent bands some times, which out ways the cons. Cons - Not a good place to meet women, unless you're in their social circle,that has nothing to do with the Ganny, thats just Port Hope. -The music they play sucks -The bathrooms could use some upgrading

It's a classic old time watering hole bar with live music and cheap alcohol. Excellent service, friendly efficient staff and local clientele. I wouldn't eat off the floors but the tables are fine as they dont serve food anyway.

One of the few places that have QUALITY live music. The bar itself is okay, but the music is usually great!

Lots of great bands this summer thanks to the Ontario street Theater! The Neil Young tribute was fantastic!
