The burger was amazing and delicious and also tried their poutine which was good. The staff are incredibly kind and really liked our first time here. What impressed me a lot was that their draft beer was ice cold and served in a frozen glassn... What a difference that makes. I find most places serve their beer too warm. It helped make the meal better. I highly recommend and give it a try. You will like what you see and experience. Bravo folks!
I’m not usually a burger person, but I decided to give this place a try because of the high ratings. The Zeus is their signature burger, but I personally preferred the Apollo, which was recommended by the staff. The sauce in the Zeus was a bit heavier and saltier for my taste, while the Apollo felt more balanced and the egg blended in perfectly. The burger portions were generous and filling. That said, the prices are on the higher side for burgers, so it’s something to keep in mind before visiting.
Not only was the food AMAZING, but the service was top-notch as well.nnWhen we arrived, it was pretty quiet since it was 3pm on a cold, snowy day. The staff greeted us immediately, and were super nice.nnI had the Hera burger and my husband had the Zeus. I’m super picky about onion rings and these might be my favourite I’ve ever had. They were super crispy and not over-breaded. In other words, they were perfect.nnThe fries were also delicious, so you’ll be happy no matter what side you choose.nnEven once we had our food, despite the fact that this is seat-yourself, counter-order restaurant, the staff checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. I’d give the service a 6/5 if I could.nnThe food came out hot and super quick, and looked AMAZING.nnWe can’t wait to come back!! This is a MUST try! The prices are great, especially for how much food you get. I’m stuffed.
This burger is absolutely delicious. Although there aren’t many seats and the wait can be quite long, the amazing flavor makes it totally worth it and you’ll forget all about the time spent in line.
Olympus Burger is an award-winning burger joint with numerous awards, and has been ranked top 20 in the world! I’ve heard about this place for years, and I’m glad I finally got to try it on my trip to Port Hope.nnI tried:nZeus Burger $14.25nFresh beef patty, peameal bacon, caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, aged white cheddar cheese, Olympus bbq sauce, lettuce, tomatonnApollo Burger $13.25nFresh beef patty, fried egg, peameal bacon, between two grilled aged white cheddar cheese sandwiches, lettuce, tomatonn+ $7.50 to make it a combonnOlympus Poutine $9.95nCrispy bacon, caramelized onions, Ivanhoe cheese curds and Olympus beef gravynnStrawberry Milkshake $6.75nnZeus Burger was the best here, and there was some sweetness to it that I liked. If I were to go again, I’d just get this. Apollo was similar, but not as good. Poutine was okay only, and milkshake could have improved. Service here was spectacular; employees were very attentive and helpful despite this not being fine dining.nnI’d recommend this place to anyone spending the day around the Port Hope area!
