This Vietnamese restaurant is quite unique because it doesn’t just focus on traditional dishes — it actually specializes in Vietnamese-style desserts while also offering a good selection of hot savory dishes. It’s a combination you don’t see often, and it certainly makes the place stand out.nnWe ordered a mix of their signature items: deep-fried frog, stir-fried beef with vegetables on thick rice noodles, mango sticky rice, and a coconut milk dessert. The savory dishes were flavourful and prepared well — the frog was crispy and tender, and the beef stir-fry had a nice wok aroma with the noodles soaking up all the sauce. The desserts, which seem to be the highlight of this restaurant, were excellent. The mango sticky rice was fragrant and indulgent, and the coconut dessert was refreshing, properly sweetened, and very enjoyable.nnConsidering the quality and the uniqueness of their menu, the prices were reasonable, making it feel like good value for money. Given the consistently long queues outside, it’s clear that many others think so too. The restaurant is extremely popular, so be prepared to wait during peak hours.nnOverall, this place offers specialty Vietnamese desserts paired with tasty hot dishes, creating a fun and memorable dining experience. We will definitely return to try more from their menu.
I first heard about this place from my Vietnamese friend, and another friend recommended it today — so I was really excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, I regretted it the moment I stepped in.nnThe venue felt small, cramped, and uncomfortable. It was also quite cold inside. While I was already closing the door, the cashier suddenly yelled, “Would you please close the door?” — which was a huge turnoff. I was closing it, so that abrupt tone came across as unnecessarily rude and made me want to leave immediately.nnThe food itself was good, but the dessert was disappointing. I’d heard their desserts were unique and highly recommended in Vancouver, but when we ordered their “#1 best seller,” it turned out to be just sweetened coconut milk with toppings. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t special either — and the portion was small for the price.nnThere were even electric scooters in the washroom. Very unhygienic.nnTo make things worse, we were told to leave because of a time limit — something no one mentioned to us beforehand.nnOverall, I didn’t feel welcomed here. Between the staff’s attitude, the lack of warmth, and the overall experience, I can confidently say I won’t be returning.
Cash and debit only.nnThe durian sticky rice and the grilled flan is SO good! I’m still thinking about them after going home. I can see why this place is popular and has long lines.nnPleasantly surprised that they have a very big selection of food items and not just dessert. Smells very good and looks yummy, as well as having big portions. Looking forward to coming back for dinner.
We had mango sticky rice and young coconut jelly. Both are pretty good. Mango is sweet.nnI like them open late night till 2am and good for savoury and sweet. I bought salty egg sponge cake home for next day. The cake is still very soft after fridge a day.nnToo many choices make it very difficult to make decision. Better to share with friends to try variety.
Great little Vietnamese dessert spot, definitely lives up to the buzz.nWe were a group of 5 and shared three items portions are really generous!:n• Tripe-Kill Durian on Sticky Rice: the absolute highlight. Loads of fragrant, real durian on sweet coconut sticky rice — rich but perfectly balanced, not too sweet.n• Thai Mixed Jelly Balls Dessert with Durian in Coconut Milk: super refreshing with lots of different textures and a gentle durian flavour. Everyone loved it.n• Cream Cheese Custard Coated Coffee Jelly: unique and delicious. Firm, bouncy coffee jelly with strong coffee aroma and a light cream-cheese coating that adds richness without being heavy.nThe place was packed all night open until 2 am, but the staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to refill water. Highly recommend for late-night Vietnamese sweets in Vancouver — we’ll definitely be back!
