I was here for two meals and didn’t know what to order from the big menu the first time. They didn’t have chicken knees on both days. I tried the grilled pork chops on sticky rice. The meat was very tender just oversalted, unfortunately; pate with pork floss on turmeric sticky rice. This was good, but didn’t have a strong enough tumeric flavour; creampuffs with custard filling. It was ok; the pastry wasn’t light and flaky as I prefer; salted duck egg spongecake which was very sweet and the salted egg taste was barely noticeable; durian ice cream shake. This was a tad too sweet and didn’t have enough durian; red bean mixed with coconut milk I didn’t try enough of it to comment on it; Vietnamese calamari. This was so good I was surprised; deep fried pho noodles with stir fried beef and greens, another dish that surprised and delighted. ; pan-dan tofu with brown sugar pearls in coconut milk. I’d definitely recommend this! This is a very popular Vietnamese restaurant. Dinner time is very busy and reservations aren’t taken. Lunch time, if you get there around opening time 12 pm is great; all seating is available. Parking is free on the street out front and surrounding. I’ll be back to try more, especially the tofu desserts.
The food here is absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The dishes we tried were bursting with authentic flavors, and the attention to detail in the preparation was impressive. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal. Highly recommend trying their dishes – you won’t be disappointed!
I've always had a strong fondness for the desserts at this place. The prices are very reasonable, and the flavors never disappoint. Among the wide variety of offerings, my favorites are the sponge cake, flan, durian sticky rice, and the coconut mix. Each of these desserts has its own unique appeal, and they never fail to satisfy my sweet cravings. The service here is quite standard, and while the environment isn't particularly extraordinary, it’s comfortable and fitting for enjoying a delightful dessert experience.
Food is good, very authentic Vietnamese dessert place that's well known and very popular in East Van. If you're Vietnamese or has ever been there, it does take you back. They serve dinner as well, but when I went they were super busy, but apparently it's the norm. Nothing fancy, not a high-end restaurant, just authentic food. It use to be a Japanese restaurant location so they kept it rather than fully renovating it. Not important because we ain't there enjoy a view. But, Vietnamese EDM playing as music for was bumping for sure... good for drinks, food, and definitely dessert. If you've had Vietnamese dessert, it's sweet! Don't expect service service, they're busy... There's line ups all the time ok. Not like anyone should go to a place that's empty, there's a reason foe that...
Great spot for late night Vietnamese eats. The menu is huge, there's always something new to try. Had the che thai which was delicious. Cheese bread was slightly sweet. BBQ pork banh mi was flavourful. I'm definitely coming back!
