Wonderful little cafe tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood! I can here one day with a very good and close friend to catch up about daily life changes and work and ordered the roasted pear and brie crepe as well as the fig, brie, and greens croissant. I also ordered their special drink called the pineapple oolong misto due to its unique sounding flavour combination.nnThe roasted pear and brie crepe overall was quite pleasant good and not too heavy. The crepe had a bit more of a grained texture which could be due to the use of whole wheat, although was still thin and light. The roasted pear added a delicate subtle sweetness which balanced out the brie’s strong earthy note. The little drizzle of honey on top of the crepe also provided a welcome added sweetness to the overall plate.nnThe fig, brie, and greens croissant had a beautiful crispy and flaky exterior cut into two slices to embed a layer of melted brie and a heaping handful of collard greens or lettuce. A thin layer of sweet and subtly tart fig jam was also spread across the cut halves of the croissant shell. I personally felt the fig jam and brie combination worked better than the pear and brie combination of the crepe. There was also a lot of greens compared to the other accompaniments within the croissant, creating a slight imbalance. Although, the overall taste and texture of the croissant sandwich was amazing nonetheless.nnFinally, the pineapple oolong misto was below my expectations as it tasted more or less like a steamed hot milk with tropical aromatics added in. I personally would not order this again.nnOverall, I would give this small cafe high marks in their overall presentation, service, and welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely come back to chill and chat with friends on any given day and treat the food and coffee as a nice to have secondary accompaniment. I would highly recommend others to come check this place out if they are around the neighbourhood! They also have a wall of merchandise, spreads, and coffees for purchasing as well.
Tried their salmon quiche and their seasonal drink oolong something I forgot. The quiche was delicious, the crust was soft but not falling apart, the filling was yummy! The tea was also nice as well. I have tried their crepes as well and it is also scrumptious. Surprisingly I don't think I have tried their pastries yet so I will have to go back.nnThe staff are so friendly and bring your food and drink to your table even though it is a pretty small place. The atmosphere is definitely cozy, warm and inviting. The place is small but there is also seating outside.nnAlso long time ago I am pretty sure this place used to sell ice cream and popsicles as I have vague memories of in the summer when I was a kid going with family friends to get ice cream. They lived nearby and we would just walk there. If it is a different place, my bad, if not I have been a long time supporter!
A lovely little coffee shop with simple, old‑fashioned furniture and a beautifully aged building. The neighborhood adds so much charm, and the friendly vibe makes it an easy place to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
Stumbled across this cafe in Google Map and gave it a try. Cozy place and the food was really good, tried the smoked salmon quiche and also the turkey crepe, they were flavourful and delicious. The quiche was made to order, it was piping hot when arrived. Yum!
