Michelle the owner of Paragon does an amazing job in creating a welcoming and great community with her tea room.nnShe remembered me and my friend and was super friendly eventjo it was a long line up.nnI actually got their gift card because my friend is a big fan of their hojicha oat.nnI tried their black sesame matcha oat iced with pearls and love the flavor of this. They have an assortment of tea and products for you to try.nnI can’t wait to go back to getting their bubble waffle.
saw this beautiful store on tiktok a while ago and always wanted to check it out. I've never had hojicha oat tea before, so I didn't know what to expect but it was amazing! the flavor was perfect; not overly sweet, yet it had a very nice flavor. the pearls were also perfectly chewy! we also got the matcha chocolate, and it was delicious.nanother thing about this place that I love is how beautiful and aesthetic the interior is inside, and how nice the overall presentation of their food is!!ni love this place, it's definitely worth coming back :
Paragon Tea Room specializes in Japanese tea and stone-milled tea powders such as hojicha and matcha. The inside is tiny with three tables 6 seats and a couch. Besides tea, they also sell chocola-tea bars, tea-infused popcorn, cookies and bubble waffles.nn- Matcha black sesame $6.90 - one of their spring specials. Black sesame added a nice nuttiness that balanced well with the matcha. Drink could have been hotter.n- Ceremonial matcha oat $6.85 - smooth, slightly creamy. Again, good matcha flavour.n- The OG bubble waffle $5.25 - limp and soggy. At least the inside was mochi-like.n- Hojicha fever set $57.95 - bronze powder was great for baking; bold, roasty flavour.n- Organic hojicha loose leaf $25.95 for 100gn- Yunnan pu-erh $22.45 for 100gnnPTR's worth a visit for tea lovers.
My friend and I came here for a drink and the place was packed. I ordered a spicy chai with almond milk and a sea salt and chocolate cookie. Both were yummy and yes it was worth the wait. There is limited seating and most people collected their drinks and headed out. My friend and I managed to find a spot on the couch near the front door so we could talk and catch up. I would come back here, for sure, and recommend you try one of the many beverages.
I've fallen in love with this place! Their Matcha Latte is simply delicious, and the waffles are an absolute must-try. I can confidently say it's my go-to spot for authentic Japanese tea in Vancouver. While you may encounter a line, the wait is worth it, and the customer service is fantastic. I highly recommend checking it out, and don't miss out on their matcha—it's on another level!
