I had an amazing experience at Nemesis Coffee. From the moment I walked in, the space felt stylish, vibrant, and thoughtfully designed — the kind of café where you want to slow down and truly enjoy your coffee.nnThe Hojicha Kirishima was beautifully balanced — smooth, toasty, and nutty with a gentle sweetness that made it incredibly comforting. It had depth without being overpowering, and you can tell they use high-quality tea and prepare it with precision.nnI also tried the Jhon Alvarado Abarca, and it was exceptional. Bright, complex, and layered with vibrant acidity and delicate sweetness, it really showcased the unique character of the beans. Every sip felt clean and expressive, highlighting Nemesis’ commitment to sourcing and brewing excellence.nnBetween the thoughtful drink program, skilled baristas, and stylish atmosphere, Nemesis continues to be one of my absolute favorite coffee spots in Vancouver. Always a five-star experience.
Was recommended here. I have seen lots of good reviews and it definitely proved itself! All of their pastries looked so good and so many options available.nnOrdered Pull-Apart Bread and Matcha Mango Yuzu Cruffin to go with Iced Matcha Ube Latte which is literally what I came for. It’s my first Matcha Ube Latte and i’m loving it!! Would definitely visit again when i’m in Van
I absolutely loved Nemesis. This is the kind of coffee shop that makes you slow down and actually pay attention to what you’re drinking. Their rotating coffee program is so thoughtful, and the Costa Rica Allan & Senel Campos in my flat white was wow. The raspberry and muscovado sugar notes actually came through, which is so rare in milk drinks. You can tell they take coffee seriously, from the Synesso machine to serving drinks in clear cups where there is no hiding the quality or texture.nnJason’s service was warm, kind, and genuine. The chocolate almond croissant was twice baked, rich, flaky, and so good I kept thinking about it after. I also loved the little detail of water served with the coffee. It makes the whole experience feel intentional.nnThe space has that clean Vancouver energy: beautiful, creative, relaxed, and still very serious about the craft. I loved it so much I bought a bag of beans to take home. Nemesis is absolutely a must for anyone who loves real specialty coffee, great pastries, and a place that actually cares about the full experience.nnMore on social @ratedbymaryam
Beautiful brunch spot with food that tastes as good as it looks. The pastries were perfectly flaky and buttery with amazing texture, and the sandwich combination was rich, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. The smoked salmon toast felt fresh and light, while the pastries were definitely the stars of the meal. Great coffee, relaxed atmosphere, and attention to detail in both presentation and flavor. Definitely one of those places you want to come back to.
We loved this spot! The pastries were excellent, as were the unique tea lattes. Definitely the highlight was the very special bean selection that made some killer drinks! Especially liked that you were assigned seating after ordering—it meant we didn’t have to stress about securing a table. Friendly staff, good music, great vibes. Will definitely return next time we are in Gastown
