The Saratoga Hilton

We were upgraded to a junior suite that was very spacious. No complaints about the room. The location is great and walkable to many shops and restaurants. The layout of the hotel is a little unusual. We were able to park on the street for free given that we were leaving fairly early in the morning. We did go to the restaurant for a drink and the staff was completely overwhelmed by a large crowd. Clearly a case of understaffing and I felt bad for the server working that evening.

I attended the Flurry Festival this year. The Hotel is always an awesome host for us dancers. I’d love to be able to get a room some year, the process for getting a room on very busy weekends can be challenging, so plan ahead

Stayed for the Winterfest gymnastics meet, held in the adjoining City Center, and it was very convenient to not have to leave the building. There were a number of dinner locations within walking distance, and the whole downtown which includes a great bookstore.nNot having a Continental breakfast was inconvenient while traveling a group of kids who had to get up early and compete, but there were a few grocery stores close by and we shopped the night before.nThe pool is salt water, and that was nice.nnMain Con:nFrom the hotel door to the desk and elevator is a long walk but they only have ONE luggage cart for the entire hotel which was huge and hosting both the gymnastics meet and a forestry conference, and on the days we were there they had a freelance bellhop working who was allowed to be the only one using the cart. Not wanting to pay, I had to haul my all luggage without a cart despite mentioning my shoulder injury to the front desk.

Reviews are a bit dramatic. Room was clean enough. Great location with many places to eat, bars, and parks within walking distance. We had our work conference in Saratoga room 1. It was next to the bistro and a bit loud. Could clearly hear the kitchen through the wall. Charging for parking is ridiculous though.

Great hotel in a great location for exploring the area shops and restaurants. The in-house restaurant was not prepared for the marriage conference guests, that was a huge fail on their part ...we ran across the street to Stewart's, for breakfast. The elevators may need some updating, but I suspect some parts of the hotel are historic, I did not research. The staff were all friendly. Room and facilities well kept and clean.
