So disappointing. They have very nice, helpful staff and a relatively central location, but the rooms are awful. They need a major upgrade, truly zero insulation. You can hear your neighbors turn on light switches, much less the loud flushes, faucets, conversations, etc. I tossed and turned all night. Bathroom is super old, I'm sure they clean as best they can, just needs a major overhaul or it will always look dirty and tiny. Some items reminded me of 1970s fixtures and I'm pretty sure they were. Beds were fine, maybe with ear plugs you could sleep a couple hours. I've never seen such a loud hotel.nIf this were $95 per night and rated 2 stars I would have been expecting all that. For a Saratoga hotel, part of IHG, I expect a minimum room standard which they can't meet, no matter how the staff tries until a renovation. Oh, and we also had no power for 3 hours of our stay. Will not be returning.
Service & location were great but that's about where it ends. Unfortunately the hotel is extremely outdated, the noise travelling is a huge problem from doors slamming to the church bells outside the window. There is no USB charging ports, the entertainment choices on TV weren't great every time I tried to pause a movie it kicked me out and I had to go back and find it and start it again. The bathtub did not appear to be clean and the towels were really itchy. The indoor pool was extremely cold. I don't feel the price is competitive enough to fall short in so many ways...nnThe staff are really wonderful, so that should be noted. Pleasant & helpful and gave a late check out with no issues.
Good location. Spacious rooms. Generally Clean, other than a hair in the sheet that made me wonder if it had been changed. They charge 18 dollars for breakfast??? They should have a free option as well, like every other holiday inn in the country.nnA bit pricy for the quality of the space. I suppose you’re paying for location. If you want to charge these prices though, you need to renovate. This felt more like a motel than a holiday inn.nnIt is like the 1970s threw up in there . Pop corn ceiling, windows leaking cold air . Hideous carpet, curtains atrocious, couch was like cardboard, sitting on the floor would have been just as good. Weird thermostat that was at best challenging to operate.nnI rented the king suite thinking I’m getting hot tub. No, you get a jetted bath tub. Which was also nice, but not as expected. I guess I should’ve done closer reading. The shower looked like a prison shower . Hideous brick with rust stains, in despair. I wasn’t setting foot in the thing . Looked like you could get tetanus from doing so. No thank you .nnI don’t think I’d bother staying again. It was wasn’t terrible but that’s about it .
I just loved my weeklong unexpected stay here. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the rooms are clean, the bed very comfortable. I enjoyed how there is a fire pit outside and a shuttle if you don't feel like walking due to weather, etc into the charming heartwarming town of Saratoga Springs! The location is just on the top of the town, close to everything all kinds of restaurants, bars, and the beautiful park ain't far either.
Hotel entrance is nice and clean but that’s it. Pool is cold, both rooms had severe air leaks around the heating units allowing cold outside air to flow in as if a window was open. Room was a bit dirty, every time going by the front desk no one is to be found and had several customers waiting at least three times from what I saw over my two days. Was charged almost $6 for a glass of orange juice in the breakfast area as a to go one, not refills. I had assumed it was like a Hilton or Hampton in where a single glass of Orange juice was included when spending over $450 for two nights. Go else where.
