The Roti Hut

Good clean atmosphere. Food is excellent. I'm a fan of Rotis and these are up there with the best. Worth checking out Edit- so I thought it was a 1-off but after a second time going for dinner here it was painfully slow 48 minutes for food, young lady at the counter was frustrated and took it out on patrons. Food came warm if not under warm. They need help at night because it's not this bad at lunch.

I had doubles and rotti from here and it tasted very good. Facility is clean you can see the food being prepared in the back. Lots of seating available. Staff were professional and nice. There are lots of parking available. It might get busy at times. Portions are big enough and prices are reasonable. Good place to grab a bite if you're in a mood for island food.

Hands down one of the top 2 or 3 GTA Roti spots. Used to be my go to spot every time and then because of convenience, I stopped coming by. After an over 2 year break, was so impressed to see it was as good as ever...better even than my memory had served. Wish they had a mini option for the kids. Pick up some of the frozen roti skins if they have any available.... great value for the money.

So, I went to Roti Hut based on the reviews and the fact that they have been around for 35 years. Yesterday, my friend and I went during lunch, it was a little busy but that expected. I ordered the goat and he got the boneless chicken. Which were both quite pricey. Customer service wasn’t the best but I guess I’m used to it. Anyways, the goat wasn’t tender and kept getting stuck in my teeth. The curry didn’t taste quite good, it was more sweet than savoury. My friend said the chicken was ok, but curry didn’t taste quite good. I won’t be going back. Outcome, I didn’t finish the roti cause the goat was way to hard and I couldn’t take the curry. At least I tried.

Expensive. Doubles for almost $3? Slice of pone for $5? Ridiculous. Barra for double was very thick and dry. Did not put enough filling. Only good thing is that there was no line and a fair size dining area and also pretty clean overall.
