Fed up after SO many disappointments with a company long considered "the best salon in Vancouver" for many many years (where most of the time it felt like you were on the set of a Star Trek episode) I had the fortune to walk into The Lounge Hair Studio at 1116 Richards. EVERYBODY in this salon is SO nice and you feel welcome as soon as you step inside the door. No out-of-whack egos here..not like where I was used to going where the arrogance was so thick, it could be cut with a knife. I basically interviewed Kelly and found that she was talented, knowledgeable and experienced with hair extensions (as well as all other hair services) so ...I booked in with her. I have a motto in life that I do not deal with anybody I would not want to sit and have lunch with and when you are getting hair extensions, you better like the person installing them because you are often sitting there with them for 3 plus hours!!! Kelly is not only very talented, but she is a really really great person. She installed my extensions exactly how I envisioned and I am thrilled with the results. I would not hesitate to recommend Kelly (and the whole salon) to anybody looking for a down-to-earth friendly atmosphere filled with talented, fun people. Thanks Kelly and gang, Glad I found you

Kelly has been my stylist for 4 years now and I have no intention of looking elsewhere. I trust her completely and am always happy with the results. The salon in general is great. Helpful and friendly people always make you feel welcome.

Renata is the best! So sweet and she works so well with my long hair. Anything from trim to layers or color change she's great :)

Even if I were to go bald I would continue going to the Lounge. Mari is a genius stylist that is the best I've ever had cut my hair. Her personality and wit is just a sharp as her scissors. The entire experience at the Lounge from stepping in the door until you leave is stellar. You can tell this salon is focused on caring for their customer's and stylists.

Iris was awesome -- friendly and attentive, and gave me a beautiful cut that was exactly what I asked for. Cool vibe at the salon. I'll be returning.
