Bangtown Hair Saloon

I went here last year. The first time I visited, the person that did my hair forget their name was fabulous. The second time, I got a person called Emma, and I wasn't as impressed at all. I'm not one to complain, and even sent an email to them explaining the situation trying to see if they would rectify it. No reply. I just wanted my roots blended with my bleached hair. The photos attached show the result the next day after 1 wash. Streaky, not a good colour match colour is way too red, patchy - just all the worst thing. It was very streaky and patchy at the salon too, but I thought it would wash out nicely. I tried to like it, but I decided that maybe the hairdresser needed to go back to hair colouring school. I have to note that I did book this appointment last minute, but I don't think a penalty for that should be bad results. I really liked the vibe of this place, but I haven't been back since.

In November 2022 I went to Bangtown to get a bang trim. My stylist Matt spoke over me as I shared what I was wanting and ignored me as I tried to correct him from cutting what was way too much of my hair off, and proceeded to cut off all of the hair in front of my ear to my chin, essentially leaving me with a grown out mullet. I told Matt this is not what I had wanted and I had been very specific and his response was "this is what you asked for." After a bit and back and forth he came out with another stylist who did her best to fix what was her words "one of the worst bang cuts she had ever seen". After this I called the owner and shared my experience. She was very empathetic and told me if I needed anything to let her know and all services would be on the house until I returned. Obviously nothing can fully render a terrible haircut, however I do feel the owner did everything she could to make it right. Fast forward to last week when I decided I was ready to return to get a length trim. I booked over the phone and arrived a few minutes early. When I walked in no one acknowledged me or asked who I was there to see. I tried to address one girl but she didn't really seem to listen or care. I sat on the couch until 15 minutes past my appointment until I asked if I was there at the wrong time. Turns out my appointment hadn't been booked into the system and my stylist was about to go home for the night. They fit me in with the stylist who I did really enjoy, however and I left with about 1 inch in length difference from my left side to right. I am beyond irritated at this point to say the least. I don't understand how two simple haircut requests can result like this. While I appreciate everything the owner did to try and rectify my experience, I feel some due diligence to share my experience seeing as I've left with two terrible haircuts. I would hate for anyone else to go through what I've now gone through twice with this salon. I have attached a photo of the uneven length trim.Service: Hairstyling

I think the stylists name was Matt?! I can’t remember but he was great - super easy to talk to. Was able to get a walk-in appointment closer to close which was very convenient!

I had the loveliest experience with Courtney today! She made time for me on her usual day off and did a great job cutting and styling my hair. She's so sweet and easy to talk to and I just had a good time at the salon as a whole! I cut off a significant amount and usually would be nervous but she made sure to check in on the length and showed me the best way to style my cut, and recommended a great shampoo for me. So happy with how my hair turned out and how great Courtney was!

My stylist Paige, is a miracle worker! She’s the best. Followed her from prev salon & must say, I really like Bangtown too. Chill vibe, friendly environment & often there’s a cute dog on premises. The salon is professional but not stuffy. Highly recommend both Paige and Bangtown. And if you’re into shaggy mullets and/or funky colours, Paige is your stylist!Services: Hair coloring

I’ve been going to this salon for years. The staff is absolutely incredible and you always feel at home here. I see Noelle and she is the only person I will ever let touch my hair, though I’m sure the other stylists and barbers are fantastic too. Noelle has a great personality and she really takes the time to listen to what you want and helps you create a vision for your look. She takes extra care on the quality of her cuts and the health of your hair and she’s an absolute magician when it comes to colour and extensions. I always feel like a goddess leaving the salon. 100/10 would recommend.

Paige is my hairdresser and she is AMAZING. I’ve never had a hairdresser that I went to consistently but Paige now has been my go-to for a few years! Every time I’ve gotten a cut or colour from her it’s been perfect and exactly how I like it. Paige is incredibly knowledgeable, not to mention she’s so fun to chat too as well. Bangtown is a really nice shop as well, cute decor, friendly staff, I cannot recommend enough!Services: Hair coloring

I’ve had the best hair of my life since Noelle has been doing my hair here. She’s really talented and the easiest person to get along with. She has done highlights and cuts and styled it —all fantastic and she does free bang trims. She’s a gem! I get so many compliments on the colour and cut. A Bonus is her big adorable dog who is at the salon sometimes too!Services: Hairstyling

I love the vibe at Bangtown and my stylist Paige aka "the hair witch" is awesome. I'm often changing my mind about my hair between appointments, she listens patiently and will make suggestions. I always leave happy and with GREAT hair. I highly recommend Paige and Bangtown.Services: Hair coloring

Great spot, lovely decor, chill vibes! Ali is a highly skilled stylist and a great listener who really takes the time to understand exactly what you are looking for. Her down to earth, genuine personality makes haircuts with her a very comfortable experience, I’d recommend her and the saloon to anyone!
