Suki's - Downtown

Suki's staff knows how to execute requests, as well as create the best style to compliment a client's features. I feel comforted knowing that I won't walk out with a bad haircut, and everyone is very friendly at both the South Granville location and West Georgia Location.

I have been seeing Aron and Simon for years now. You'd think I might begin to feel the 5-year itch, but I don't. They are kind, patient, professional, and above all, super talented! I always walk away feeling more gorgeous than when I entered Suki's lovely salon. I have already pre-booked my next appointment for three months from now.

Sophia is excellent. Highly recommended. She's very knowledgeable about colour for all types of hair, she listens to her client but will make suggestions, she's cheerful and friendly and in 4 years of getting highlights done by Sophia, I've always been happy with the results.

Very disappointed in Suki's. It's usually my "go to" hair salon but I think I'll avoid it from now on. I went in for a blow-out and was charged $63!!! That's absolutely ridiculous. The blow out didn't even last an hour, as she didn't even smooth out my ends, which are my frizziest, so they were puffy and frizzy when she was done, which caused the rest of my hair to puff up as well. Yes, I have long hair, yes I have curls, but my hair is very fine and easy to work with. She didn't even use a flat iron!!!!! $63 for her to blow dry my hair in sections. Like I said, my hair is very manageable, nothing CRAZY for a professional hair stylist. Their prices are $40 and up for a blow and style, which to them basically means if your hair is past shoulder length, you're paying the top dollar. I cant even imagine if I had asked her to use a flat iron for my ends, how much she would have charged me. $80?? For a wash and style? Beyond ridiculous. I wanted to go in for a trim soon because, like I said, Suki's is/was my go to and I've had my hair trimmed there for $80 before. But one time I went to the South granville location and a girl there charged me $160 FOR A TRIM!!!!! Insane. Now that I've been charged $63 for a blow out, I'm definitely not going back for a trim. Their prices are far too inconsistent and honestly, unreasonable. Great salon if you have short or already straight hair. But anyone with texture or length should avoid, unless you just like spending money. There are a lot of salons in Van to choose from with great hair stylists and just a fraction of the cost of Suki's. I attached a photo of my ends so you can see just how puffy they are. NOT WORTH $63!!!!!!!!
