The asian staff was very helpful. Clean inn. Lacks the amenities of city hotels but who needs amenities when you can do all the activities outside instead. Must be a very charming place during summer.
Loved our stay at the inn! The room was very accommodating and clean! The bed was comfortable and sturdy. The view from our balcony was beautiful, especially at sunset. There is also a dock with tables/seating to eat or watch the sunset. The continental breakfast was good, and coffee/tea/drinks are available all day until 6pm. There are some cute shops on the boardwalk, and a family restaurant. Passage Pizza next door is pretty good and convenient. There's also a Timmies up the road, a gas station, a grocery store, and A&W. It's a quiet area, 25 minutes from downtown through the toll bridge. There is also a ferry service across.
We arrived from Portugal late at night and took a taxi from airport directly to the Inn. It was a self check in with a door code and instructions as to which room we had booked and its exact location. Finding the room was easy and after turning on the lights , we were amazed how clean everything was. We found every amenity required. Two type of shampoo, body lotion, hand soap, plenty of towels, bathmat, a square of carpet to place our shoes, closet with iron and ironing board, over sized mini fridge, instructions about the breakfast in the morning , and many more item that we would have expected at a 5 star resort. David has thought of everything to make your stay beyond comfortable. In the morning we had to leave right away and stopped into the kitchen were David was making fresh crossants. There was a spotlessly clean kitchen and eating area for the included breakfast, but we didn't have time to have. He offered to prepare a couple of breakfasts to go, but sadly we didn't have time, and thanked him again on his Inn and the effort he has and does provide for your comforts.
I absolutely love this Bed & breakfast. David and Jenny are very nice people. Centrally located to shops and waterfront. We could even see Halifax from our balcony. Highly recommend it!!
Had a lovely stay July 19 & 20, 2024 at The Inn at Fisherman's Cove! This Inn was well located - less than 5 mins away from two bus stops taking you to the ferry terminals for a 10 mins ferry ride to Halifax. Best of all, a short walk to the multi-coloured stores that sold tempting food, ice cream and other local artisan items for souvenirs/gifts along the boardwalk. Another highlight, we ordered a freshly caught lobster that we ate with relish!nWonderful hosts, David and Ginny, who made the recent stay even more special with their hospitality and kindness. The breakfast served was filling and delicious, and one day we had yummy home made muffins! We were lucky that we had a room with a balcony as it overlooked the docked fishing boats and needless to say the sunset view was stunning! The room was spotlessly cleaned and quaint. All in all, a fabulous stay at Fisherman's Cove - couldn't ask for more. Many thanks, David and Ginny - the hosts with the most!
