The Happy Hound Play Park Dog Daycare & Boarding

Love the place but sad they won’t be offering the social/breed meetups anymore. That is our favourite time to come because we can watch my dog play with others. We don’t use daycare or boarding.

My dog, Hazel, has had high anxiety and difficulties adjusting to new environments since I brought her home 3 years ago. She's had bad experiences with new people from her breeders she was malnourished and not taken care of before I got her, trainers before, etc and has been sick with anxiety after leaving places because they've never made her feel comfortable and I was never comfortable sending her to a daycare but when I found the Happy Hound and from the moment she went for her assessment and her first day of CLASS daycare, I knew she was in good hands.nnThe trainers have always been so informative and kind, when Hazel has had a really bad/high anxiety day they've let me know and worked with me to help Hazel be more comfortable. And Hazels always looked so happy in her daycare photos and come home happy, tired, and was never sick after leaving.nnI can't thank the Happy Hound and the trainers enough for taking such good care of her and I tell everyone to bring their dogs here because I know their fur babies will be so well taken care of and happy when they come!

I don't usually do this kind of thing, but honestly, this time I felt it was necessary.nnMy dogs, Maluma and Ikki, stayed at this place for four nights. The night I picked them up, Ikki vomited, and I noticed there was a round, very hard piece of plastic in the vomit. I wrote to them to inform them of the severity of the problem: first, because that plastic could have caused my dog to choke when eating it; and second, because if the dog hadn't vomited the plastic, I would likely have had to pay for surgery.nnI informed the establishment about what I found in my dog's vomit, and of course, they denied it happened there.nnRegarding Maluma, they sent me a text message saying that he had been vomiting in their facility I have the message, and indeed, my dog was unwell from Monday to Thursday. He refused to eat anything and vomited twice more at home.nnToday, Friday, Ikki, the one who vomited the piece of plastic, has a cold and green mucus.nnI am surprised by all the ailments my dogs experienced after being at that place.nnIn September of last year, they stayed at another place and never had any issues. I don't know what happened, but my dogs were sad and sick.nnI would never leave my dogs at that place again and would not recommend it.

My puppy absolutely loves going here! They post photos of the day and it’s great seeing the dogs having a good time.nnMy husband and I were away for 20 days and boarded our pup. In the middle of the stay, the caretakers noticed swollen gums and they were swift in taking action. They contacted us and updated us on the situation. Throughout the vet appointment, surgery and recovery, we were kept in the loop with photo and video updates.nWe’re so grateful to everyone at Happy Hound for taking care of our puppy when she needed extra care.

They take such great of our puppy!! The girls are always so excited to see our pup and I love that you get a report card and pictures of their stay so it helps ease your mind on how they’re doing. We also come here for classes and Kade has been helpful in addressing specific questions we have in addition to regular training. We had an issue one time regarding communication during one of our earlier stays but the manager, Jenn, was quick to address my concerns and there has been zero issues since! I wish there is a grass outdoor area but my dog comes home tired every stay so I know for sure he’s having the best time!!
