This was one of the best meals I’ve had. And for a tab of $119 for three meals and drinks, won’t do much better at a nice place in the city. We had the salmon, fish and chips, and short rib. So good. Also, not normally rosé drinkers, but their house wine is really good. On top of that, the service was incredible. Our server, Fatima, gave great recommendations, in depth explanations about the wine, and just generally upbeat and friendly. We could not ask for a better dining experience on vacation. You should definitely eat there.
This place looks amazing inside. Great for a nice date or girls night out. There was some live music for a short time on Sunday evening, but I am not sure about the other days. Hostess was really nice and managed to get us the table we wanted. We did have a reservation but it was not busy this time. First time we wanted to dine here, the wait time was over an hour so reservations are recommended just in case. Drinks are strong and they do have some nice cocktails. Food is good but not many flavor. Pizza was amazing, salad was bland. It is on the pricey side so just know you will be paying more for the atmosphere amd experience then the food. Our server Pedro was super nice, came by to check on us pretty often and it was greatly appreciated.
Very social. But not very genuine. The place is designed to attract sophisticated guest in search for a "coastal" rose'. However, wines at the glass are at outrageous prices while offering basic experiences average wines. Cocktails are offered in original fashion and maybe this is the only added value of the place. However, I tested them.on a "traditional" Manhattan on the rocks and it was watery. Food is on the sweet side. Most of the recipes offered are unbalanced on the sweet side. But what I tried was honestly well made and looking at the southern US tradition. The "bang bang" chicken reminded me of New Orleans. Service is very professional that is why they get a second star. But the overall experience was much below what they charge for. In Chicago is easy to offer good local beers at affordable prices. However...Michelob Ultra is on the list. Come on, you are in Chicago!
Very nice during the summer when the dividers and windows are opened to the outside. There was a nice breeze coming from the lake. Hip decorations both first floor and upstairs. Would recommend the pizza, as the crust / dough was thin and airy, while crisp. The toppings were cooked evenly just right. The octopus was done very nicely. Flavorful and soft on the inside, caramelized on the outside. The lobster roll was ok. The meat was not the freshest during my visit.
Such a great vibe inside, and very modern looking restaurant located in the heart of Chicago. Staff was friendly and accommodating despite how busy it was on a Sunday afternoon. Portion size is not too large but also not too small. Price was as expected $$. No outdoor seating was available, but not sure if there normally is that option. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!
We came here at 10 on a Saturday without a reservation and got seated at the bar. We really enjoyed watching the staff making all these different kinds of drinks and seemed like there were a few drinks that are more popular. I got the Sunrise Beach Bowl, it was okay. I liked the sweetness of the plantain and the softness of the beans. They went really well with the rice but I thought the rice & quinoa could use a bit more time to be cooked since they were a little hard. My friend got Steak and Eggs and the steak was tender and tasty. The restaurant is nautical themed from the decor to the staff uniform. Their straws are so cute, there’s a little bee on it and I love that little detail. The neon sign wall is so pretty and insta-worthy.
I really like this place. From the outside it looks like a fun place to drink and hang out, which it definitely is. If you’re hungry, though, the food has never disappointed me any of the times I’ve been there. It’s surprisingly well made, delicious and nicely presented. I really liked the tuna tartare and the octopus was okay. Overall it’s kind of a nice mix between a hang out spot and good dining experience!
Great place for girls to hang out. Not my type of place. Should've ordered the pizza, it looked good homemade. The burger was lackluster and the only thing that appealed to me on the menu. I love seafood, just not the preparations they offered. They appeared to have a full bar, but the dozens of drink options on the menu catered to a sweet, girly "glitz" taste. So, I passed on ordering any drinks. At least show the drink options on the menu so we can create our own simple jack and Coke, if you indeed do have whiskey. Or Coke.
First visit to The Hampton Social. We tried the crab cakes, fish n chips, salmon poke, avocado pizza, a kale salad and the Ceasar salad. Everything was excellent! We'll be back to try other menu items! The service was good, very friendly. One thing for certain the atmosphere is better than average.
Went for an early lunch on Friday, so it wasn't crowded at all. I don't drink, but their drink menu looked really good. I ended up with a delicious Arnold Palmer, along with the shrimp and crab bruschetta. For my main I went with the Hampton Social Caesar Salad, plus steak, it too was good. Overall, they are clearly known for the atmosphere and drinks. At this location there is an upstairs patio area. Since I am not a drinker that won't be a draw for me here, but overall a good place to stop and grab a shareable P.S. Sean my server was awesome
