This restaurant is in the Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile, but there is a separate entrance from East Ontario Street. We went for lunch on a weekday, around 11:20am, and had no issues finding a table. By the time we left, there were a few other people there, but that gives you an idea of crowds. I don't think finding a table will be a problem, and there is full bar seating. We really enjoyed this restaurant. The menu read like a bar menu, but when the food arrived at the table, it felt elevated, and was full of flavor and delicious! The draft beer menu was solid, but the wine and cocktails menu was extensive. We didn't try them, but they apparently specialized in Moscow mules, because there were many on the menu. It had been dinner, I probably would have dove in, because both the mules and the cocktails looked interesting. The service was quick, and the server was really friendly and attentive.
Came here on a weekday and it was completely empty. There was a server, a bartender, both and just one cook. We were a bit hesitant but since we made a reservation already, we still decided sit down and we are glad that we stayed! The food was delicious! Fried avocado and the tomahawk pork chop are simply delicious! Not sure why but the server wasn't really friendly, maybe he had a bad day.
I got the biscuits and gravy. Described in the menu as, "#16 biscuits, chipotle sausage gravy, over easy eggs, cheddar potato cake." Made with base of potato cake, egg on the cake, biscuit on the egg, and smothered with the gravy. Egg cooked perfectly, biscuit soft and flaky, but the potato cake really seemed to only add texture, not flavor. The Chipotle seemed to overpower the cheddar. The service was lackluster at best. When I walked in, there were 3 tables occupied of about 16 tables. I noticed all the tables already had flatware and water glasses on them, except the one where I was seated. The woman who sat me and my server, both, did not pay attention to this fact. I ended up getting up from my table to get the flatware I did not have from another table, after water and coffee were brought out. Why was this not noticed then? It seemed as if paying attention to the tables was not a priority. To this point, after finishing my meal, the busser was the only one who offered to get me a second cup of coffee. The busser was more of a server than the server was. The atmosphere that one walks into says it is a more upscale yet adventurous dining experience. The food fits the atmosphere, the service does not.
Coming to the magnificent mile, stumbled upon this place. It's neat and clean with friendly service. Our server Tatyana made our visit completely worth it. Her attention to detail was meticulous and had a pleasant but professional demeanor. We just cannot say enough to explain how nice it was to interact with a person like Tatyana. Our breakfast was great and was reasonably priced.
Located inside a Marriott Courtyard, this lobby restaurant is not the norm for this hotel chain. Great menu selections. Service was attentive and food arrived quickly.
Excellent food and drinks. Celeste is great at the bar. Fantastic happy hour. We had Biscuits and brussel sprouts. So delicious!!Food: 5/5
After a horrible experience during restaurant week, we stopped off for a drink at Copper Fox. Shaheen and Nahelly was amazing. Made our night worth the evening out.
Turkey Avo is where it is at. The server suggested #16 Biscuits as a starter. I’m not even a fan of biscuits but these changed my mind.
Came the other night, from out of town, with some friends of mine. We didn’t expect much being a hotel restaurant but I’m glad we came. Truffle fries are awesome and the Moscow mules are sooo good. I couldn’t stop at just one. Highly recommend!!
Great food, awesome atmosphere. Our waiter Tom was the best!
