My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a staycation at the Broadview Hotel and it was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to ensure it was an unforgettable experience. The amenities really set this hotel apart from your typical chain hotel. Our perfect Sunday brunch capped off a weekend we’re never going to forget. Highly recommended.
I booked a room in this restored historic hotel as it was near an event I was attending. The area is interesting although plagued by the same issues that many parts of downtown Toronto is struggling with. The hotel is a delightful sanctuary offering good value and a responsive front desk. It is beautifully decorated in a downplayed Soho House style. The roof top bar and restaurant is well worth visiting.
Stayed for 5 nights. Staff were great! The hotel is located not far from downtown. Very walkable location and the streetcar stops right outside. Room was quiet but could have been a bit cleaner: dust and crumbs in corners and under the bed. We had a view of the dog park next door, which was entertaining. Rooftop bar has a great view of the city. Would stay again.
This was our first time staying at this hotel. Everyone was awesome. The room was great, the staff was friendly and my wife and I enjoyed ourselves to the point we vowed to return next year. The Rooftop restaurant is amazing! The view is wild. P.S. make sure to use the restroom. You’ll be in for a surprise. There is a tribute to the old establishment once there. lol. Bravo!
I am currently, unfortunately, at The Broadview. I was in room 410 for 2 nights, preparing for my 3rd. I grabbed the robe off the bathroom wall and a roach fell out. The cockroach then ran up the wall and into the ceiling. I was moved to a room 1 floor up. If I had literally anywhere else I could go tonight, I would. They offered to comp a bottle of champaign and let me stay an extra hour in the morning. This place has restaurants too.... I can't wait to be at home, and hopefully not bring any Broadview roaches with me nEdit to add: they didn't comp the champagne, but they paid for a dinner I had purchased prior to knowing about the roaches, and for 2 nights of parking as compensation..... They offered to have a manager call me later, but what's the point if they already decided that makes up for it.nDoesn't seem like compensation for roaches, mold in the bathroom and by the wet bar, and unclean surfaces and windows. I could've stayed at a motel 6 and had the same experience, but instead, paid nearly $1700 for equally as bad conditions.
