Stayed here for two days and it was such a lovely place. I originally booked through a third party, but there was an issue. The front desk was super accommodating and helped me get a room.nnThe hotel from the exterior is lovely, but the rooms are beautiful. The bathroom was very chic and the tub was big so I could thaw properly after being out in 2°. The bed was also very comfortable and I loved that there was a turn table and a fridge for all the great pastries I’ve been getting throughout Toronto. I absolutely recommend this place. Plus, who doesn’t love supporting local establishments.nnThe location isn’t the best, but there are two street car stops on that corner and several along the street. So getting into town is a breeze. It’s also close to several great restaurants and bakeries.
I came here during American Thanksgiving to go to a concert at the Danforth Music Hall, and this hotel seems to give me everything I need while somewhat near the venue. I love that I can walk outside and easily access the streetcars, and they come very frequently. The front desk here is very friendly - they had the housekeeping team prioritize our room since we arrived a bit earlier than expected. I also love that they are available via text, and it came in handy for me because I didn’t make it to the hotel phone in time. They also gave me some pros and cons about parking in the back with them or across the street at the public lot, which I appreciate. They were also very accommodating to me bringing my emotional support bunny. I’d totally stay here again when I’m in the area next. It’s a really safe area, that’s walkable, with lots of nice businesses nearby, and all of the amenities were high tech.
On a solo trip for one of the Taylor Swift shows. I have a fragrance allergy and they were very accommodating doing their very best to make my room and linens unscented. Lovely room. Perfect service. I found the shower door awkward and I always wish for a bathtub when I'm on vacation, but everything was spotlessly clean. Lovely comfortable bed, eclectic art and chic furnishings. Add in a private Terrace and, I'll be back! Thanks to everyone who made my stay memorable.
The hotel is beautiful. Well designed, great aesthetic, but you couldn’t pay me to stay here again. The front desk staff are exceptionally incompetent and the customer service is nonexistent. Waiting almost an hour for someone to respond to my breakfast order was just the tip of the iceberg. I had to basically beg them to accept the 50 red roses I was told could be delivered in advance after they refused the driver twice There was a note on my booking but front desk couldn’t find it because they only read the note for the recipient of the flowers and neglected to see my name clearly printed as the sender until the driver came back a third time… It’s a motel experience parading as luxury. Please hire professionals.nnUpdate: 4 days ago they responded to this message saying they’d like to speak to me about my experience, no one has reached out to me. An item was left in the room which we called about the same day we checked out. I was told they would let us know when it was handed in by housekeeping, no follow up by them regarding that. This place is awful, truly. I’ve actually never experienced such terrible hospitality.
We found that all the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. At the rooftop bar you'll find that Alex is an incredible bartender/mixologist and Jessica is very professional and kind. The gm at the bistro I forget his name is very nice as well as the staff at the front desk and housekeeping.nnIt was convenient to have a street car stop right out in front of the hotel which helped us get around the city with ease. My wife and I enjoyed listening to some vinyl in our room one night, which is a nice treat to have at a hotel. I highly recommend staying here.
