This is a very very Cool hotel. It's east asian styled and everything is wooden and warm, but minimalist. I was upgraded to a suite which was a lovely surprise as I wasn't a member or anything special.nnThe rooms are clean and nice, and the shower was huge. The bathtub was very deep which was great for a tall person. The staff were also really great - they were kind and understanding when I was scrambling to check out on time. I'll stay here again.nnThe only thing I would note is that the bed is very low to the ground, so if getting in and out of bed is a mobility issue for you you may want to consider this. Also there was a big window right next to the toilet in the bathroom which was pretty weird as even with the blackout blind closed it felt a bit exposed!nnThe view from the 11th floor of the park was very nice.
Not worth the price. The hotel rooms are shoeboxes that don't even have a chair letalone a desk to sit and read or write at. A third of the closet space is taken up by their paid snacks and drinks, which is a good selection but if I'm paying this price for a room this small is a kick in the pants.nnThe bed is comfortable, which it should be, and the bathroom is fine, but I get more for less at the Sutton a few blocks away, and the bar there is better than the one at the Ace as well.nnNo complaints about the people who work there. They are all friendly and helpful.
The property itself is beautiful, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, with a great atmosphere that really captures the creative, modern vibe of the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well laid out, and the hotel’s common areas had an inviting, vibrant energy.nThe only downside was the front desk service. There was some confusion during check-in and especially around the parking, which made the arrival experience more stressful than it needed to be. That said, once the issue was escalated, the general manager handled everything professionally and efficiently, ensuring the situation was properly resolved.
Great location, comfortable bed, lovely aesthetic and great shower!nSadly we did not find the service up to scratch for the cost of the hotel. We've had better service at a 2 star hotel.nWe mentioned it was our honeymoon on booking and when we arrived. Did not expect freebies but it would have been nice if we'd got some acknowledgement like a verbal 'congratulations on your marriage!'
There's no getting away from the fact that the cost of a stay here is on the high end. However, it has been my experience that they earnestly care about ensuring your experience matches that cost. It's a visually interesting building in a great location. Will definitely stay again.
