We got take out from the Blue Nile. This was my first time having East African Food and it was delicious. I can't believe I haven't had this before. Ordering on the website for pickup was easy and fast. The owner was really nice when picking up the food. Good portion sizing as I feel very full.
I have eaten here many time! Just wanted to try to give you a review as good as your food. The owners are so friendly and amazing. Pre covid I always felt so welcomed into their restaurant and was greeted with a smile and great service. The buffet was always amazing and super reasonably priced. Now they are just doing take out it is still amazing portions for the price! I love coming here and the food is amazing ! Great work guys and I’m glad your still open for business with all the craziness covid has caused the the restaurant business!
Simply the best!! You can’t find food this authentic or delicious anywhere else in Victoria. Owners are warm and welcoming and their menu is fairly priced and generous. Always a delightful experience
First time here at blue Nile, no dine-in option was a bummer. We got two combos for $40 all together and it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The meanlovers was tasty and seasoned well, quite pungent taste of Berbere but didn’t wow me. The second combo wasn’t anything special. 7/10 on the food. 8/10 on the service.
3 of us ordered for takeout and hardly said a word while we ate. It was so damn good and unlike any else we've had in Victoria. Location was slightly out of the way, but well worth the trip. Got the meat lovers plate for myself and we shared the spinach dish. Will most definitely be eating here again.
I've yet to go in person, only had it delivered but it's SO good! Excited to experience the restaurant in person now, as the food is delicious, warming, and filling. Vegetarian options: The bursen tumtumo is amazing, second choice would be the aletcha, but the veggie combo has everything!
African deliciousness!! Blue Nile East African Restaurant dinner buffet was spectacular. After running a half marathon I needed FOOD and this was absolutely the right choice. 9 of the 12 buffet dishes are vegan, plus injera mmmmm injera. Our favorite was the red lentils or bursen tumtumo. We were the first ones there at 5:00 but it was pretty full when we left at 6:30. Total was $50 for 2 buffet and 2 glasses wine. Worth it! Support local businesses!!! This local Ethiopian gem is my family's go to comfort food! Ordered through skip the dish and it was great as always!!
I had the Managers Favourite platter and OMG I now want to eat here everyday. Such great tasting food. Reasonable price. Large portions. Absolutely recommend trying this place. Just be aware that the foods marked as spicy are VERY SPICY. My boyfriend got the Meat Lovers platter and I couldn't eat most of it because of how spicy it was- but it was still delicious through the burn.
Ah we loved this place and the service is amazing. We got the vegetarian combo and it was so quick and easy with so much variety! Even a very fresh tasting steamed and lightly seasoned carrot in there! Felt like coming here in special dresses but that will have to wait for next time :
