Today April 29/2023nIt seems things have changed at the organization. I’ve been patient at the Alex for almost 24 years. Hiring multicultural people homeless people in have changed the way you treat people. I had an appointment and the bloody train was stuck at the traffic I phoned will be Kate took longer. Also, waited for this appointment for month and half because my wonderful doctor decided to take holidays. In the past month my appointment  was cancelled so many times and I took it. Now they want to rebook for tomorrow. I am not working and the “owner peer” Theresa is greedy with the transit tickets why I have to put up with all these situations. No wondering why my previous doctor 10 years ago moved out of this clinic. Quality in her attention with patients. Reception was very different in the dressing code.nAfter this will change the clinic.l, so they keep bringing junkies and more useless people for working there

I have been having issues taking blood no one could find a vein. I came in for my counciling appointment this morning and she asked me if I was up to trying again to get my blood done I said I  was nervous but yes. So andrea said she was up to the challenge. She was amazing she is so skilled she got blood from wrist I couldn't even see the vein. Andrea deserves a huge shout out. She can take my blood anytime. Ty very much for the great experience

the alex youth health centre is phenomenal for gender affirming care. genuinely some of the nicest people there its amazing. however, the community health centre? despite being in the same building, they absolutely suck. every time I've had to deal with the community side they've always treated me poorly or refused to use my preferred name and its super frustrating, so now i need to find a new clinic when the youth health centre kicks me out because i know for a FACT i won't be coming here.

The Alex Community Health Centre embodies the true spirit of service to humanity. Every interaction with the staff at this clinic is a testament to the restoration of human dignity. While clinics are not usually my favorite places, every appointment here is genuinely life-changing and always leaves me better off.nnThank you, The Alex Community Health Centre for making a profound difference.

I had an AISH application held by my case manager. When I went to apply, it had disappeared. It was found a couple of years later. I had a heart attack and I'm on several medications to keep my heart beating. I have been shouted at, lied to and gaslit more times with workers at the ALEX than my ex husband. I suggest if you are going to try to get in at the ALEX, be prepared to take abuse with a smile.
