The wound clinic is amazing. No matter which provider we meet with they are friendly, informative, helpful, knowledgeable. They are all about helping to heal properly. We did the total contact cast and wow the healing is amazing. A wound that was causing issues for months was healed 47% in a week and a half. It will be healed soon under their amazing care. I  appreciate how everyone works together learning from each other and making everyone better equipped to do what's best for all patients. They are so kind and caring.  Great place to find help in healing.

Waited 4 hours in the waiting room after which waiter another 4 hours inside just for the doctor to send me to another doctor. Understaffed and they don’t really care about the patients. The night doctor didn’t care. The morning doctor was nice and one of the older nurse too. Overall a bad experience. First time had to be there for a really bad injury. I hope I never have to go there again.

I’ve been waiting here for 3 hours and not one person has been called up. And I hear that even when you are called, you are just brought to a waiting room to wait for several more hours.nThe waiting area just keeps filling up and the estimated wait time keeps increasing. I wish they would just tell us when the doctor will be in so we could go wait at home.nI could have gone to the ER but the RN from 811 said to come here as the wait time is lower.nNo wonder people call 911 for non-emergencies. It’s the only way to receive care without deteriorating.nThere is no point to any of these reviews, unfortunately. Our healthcare is “free” so our complaints are invalid.nThis place is just a temporary hangout for junkies.nThey get paid once we are triaged so after that who cares. People just leave and they make bank.

I had an awful experience here. I broke my hand and went here mistakenly. Triage nurses everything were great.. had my first X-ray needed to have my arm reset… the anesthesiologist had such bad bedside manners. Dr. Z I believe he said his name was.. I advised them I’m a recovered addict and breastfeeding a newborn and didn’t want fentanyl to sedate me… they gave me fentanyl with my explicit request to not have fentanyl, it was easier for him!! He also answered a personal call standing next to my bed right before injecting me with the fentanyl and didn’t even change gloves after touching his phone and putting his hands in his pockets.. then after they cast me and I continued to wait for tests and tests, I complained 4 times over 3 hrs about the cast being too tight… was told it’s normal that I’m feeling tingling and numbness, now I am back at emerge at a better hospital because the cast IS in-fact, too tight. After lying in bed for5 minutes tonight my hand went completely numb and took upwards of 30 mins to regain any sort of feeling.. I called health link and inquired with Google during that 30 mins, both told me to get back to emerge to redo the cast because it shouldn’t be so tight that my hand goes numb and my fingers turn purple! Now it’s 2am and instead of getting much needed rest, I’m back in emerge waiting… again!!

I went to the Sheldon Chumir Health Centre today for a lab test.  Although I had an appointment I had to wait 25 minutes.  Carla took the blood and she did an excellent job!  Her service deserve the 5 stars!  She was kind, friendly and very helpful and professional.  Thank you Carla!
