The food was okay. The chicken lollipops were more just chicken wings, noodles were good and the beef was okay. Definitely some better choices out there but good for a quick meal Washroom was dirty and had a mop over the sink, how are people supposed to wash their hands
Service definitely need some improvement. We tried Hot and Sour Soup, Seafood Fried Rice, Noodles and Chilli Chicken. My recommendation would be Fried Rice. Other food were average quality.
The foods were tasty. Bombay Chicken was good enough but salty. Mushrooms fried rice was better than any other places. I was fan of the Beef. I hated the wonthons not worth the money - too much fried, tasteless totally!
Just got home after picking up an order and to my surprise and not in a good way I find feathers still attached to my chicken wings. Called up the restaurant, and was told if I bring them back and if there are actually feathers, I’ll get a free replacement. Restaurant is now closed. I told her it’s a bit late, can’t make it back tonight, and ask if there’s anything else they can do. Here’s where it gets funny. She said no there’s nothing they can do. I’m told that it’s the suppliers fault for not cleaning the chicken and that they don’t have the time to go over and check the pieces or clean them and that it’s normal to have just a few feathers on a piece of chicken. And that because I’m a regular customer, that I should know this and understand it. I asked “so what you’re saying that it’s normal for your restaurant to not check your meat, not clean it, that it’s normal for there to be feathers, and there’s nothing you can do about that?” She said “yes that is correct. Sorry”. I’m giving them two stars because I do enjoy their food. But sorry even that is generous if you’re not going to check the condition and cleanliness of your poultry before serving customers. That’s disturbing. Been going to this place for years. Gladly there are numerous better halal Hakka joints in the area now.
I ordered this meal on October 12 2022. I walked into the store and ordered spicy garlic paneer and schezuan vegetable Hakka noodles. When I got home I put a plate of food for myself and my wife to eat. As my wife started to eat, she noticed little pieces of chicken AND beef in the food. We're both vegetarian so you can imagine how disgusted and disappointed we were to see this. We instantly threw everything out. I wasted almost $30 for this food just to throw it in the garbage. This just shows that the kitchen staff are NOT CLEANING THE DISHES after cooking. Ive ordered from this restaurant before and I honestly cant believe they allowed for this sort of contamination to occur. I will never order from here again after this experience and I would warn people to double check what's in their meal before they eat it. I'm sure I'm not the only person to have this experience and unless it's brought to light , it will continue to happen. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Vegetarian options: I ordered vegetarian food but found pieces of chicken and beef in my meal.
Firstly, as shown in the pic, we had to throw half of the noodles as the box melted, the other half was hot and tasted just ok. The second noodles box was good as the noodles were barely warm! lol. Its funny that there were no prices mentioned in the online menu book. Nice fancy page turning animation but no prices lol. Lastly, the girl on the phone taking the order was..... Therefore, definitely not coming back and would not suggest the place to anyone either.
Decent food, okayish vibe. Would stick to pickup rather than dine in. But good quality authentic Tangra food. Definitely should try Recommended dishesManchurian
Buyer beware. Tangerine charged $1.99 to upgrade to egg fried rice plus an extra $2.74 for chili dry with egg fried rice. To top it off they automatically add 10% tip. The waitress did not mention anything about additional charges.
We first went to the Tangerine restaurant in Markham and had the crispy ginger beef years ago 10 years ago and we loved it! The Tangerine restaurant in Whitby also have crispy ginger beef on their menu but when we ordered it, the beef was very far from being crispy. We ordered it again weeks later at the Whitby location and we didn’t feel the dish was crispy at all. Perhaps it’s time to change the name and drop the ‘crispy’ from ginger beef.
The taste is so good, i have tried many times alway the taste is awesome.
