The Chicken Pakora was really good; the chicken kebob was good but nothing special. Garlic Naan was fresh and had flavor. The Inside of the restaurant isn't modern but average. Overall it was a ideal place to visit; will be coming back for more Chicken Pakoras!
Serena Grill has good potential but leaves much to be desired. They offer a good selection on their menu but the food quality is average at best. The restaurant is spacious yet could use a deep scrub. The furniture is old and sticky. There is plenty of free parking available. The BBQ chicken boti, naan and beef Kabab were good. However, the nihari and veal biryani could be better. Overall an average experience that could be enhanced with a little more effort.
The food is great. They make some really good biriyani. The only part I would critique is when you order over the phone, they will say it will be ready within 15-20 minutes but when you arrive there after 20 minutes, it is still not done. Overall, great food and good customer service.
Love the food from Serena, it is always fresh and tasty. Ordered a large amount of food and the portions were great especially the kabobs! The Rice portions were great. Friendly staff, a little of a wait but worth it, much better than that Usmania Grill. Garlic Naan is over the top!!
One of my favorite Pakistani restaurants in the GTA. Pretty good biryani. Authentic, big portions and absolutely delicious! Have a pretty decent seating area as well.
I drove here from bowmanville because its shows they are open now that I get here they are closed like who does that please improve yourself.
Very unsatisfied with this place. Ordered butter chicken, beef kebab and tikka paneer. The portions of the chicken and paneer were very, very small so we paid good money for what seemed like a cup of sauce. Beef kebabs were ok but small and the other food had little flavour. Customer service was not good. We ordered 3 plain naan and 1 garlic naan, not realizing that they were very large. The employee should have let us known we were ordering way too much because we were clearly new customers. Ironically, the employee tried to upsell us rice and more naan haha. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
This place used to be the go-to spot for authentic Pakistani cuisine but recently their cooking style has changed, perhaps a new chef? The outcome is not great & their karahi chicken looks and tastes like butter chicken. Perhaps they're using same box masala? I sincerely hope management reads this review and brings back the old chef or perhaps go back to the old style of cooking. You're watering down your quality.
I ordered through skip the dishes. Ordered 2 butter chicken and only 1 arrived. When I called the restaurant to say I was missing an item I was told it was there and I could come get it as they have no delivery drivers. I said I would wait or they could call another service. As I had already paid for delivery. I was told that's not how it works. Even though I've had many restaurants forget parts of my orders it happens on busy nights and the food is always delivered no questions asked. She than told me in an awful tone I could simply call skip and get a refund and leave a comment if I had a problem. Disgusting customer service. Will never be ordering from here again.
this is my favorite Pakistani restaurant now. they have amazing boneless chicken biryani and the amount is a lot! the customer service is very nice, too and they have always treated us respectfully. covid rules were also being followed when in the restaurant.
