If you like Pakistani and Indian food than go Food Time restaurant. Really very nice and tastes very good. People are very professional. I really appreciated and advice to everyone to go appreciate the Pakistani and Indians meals.
They maintain fresh and quality food. I love their food specialty biryani and chaat papri. Customer service is also very friendly and helpful. To save time the best option is to order by phone because they are always busy!!
The food here is honestly underrated and should deserve more recognition for the taste and quality. The food is tasty and affordable. The halwa puri is amazing and the tandoori chicken makes my mouth water. Perfect for a night out or perfect if you have guests over. Moreover the staff is super nice and very helpful if you’re unsure about what you want to order. Food Time is great, I hope they open up in Pickering again, because it is my go to Spot if I’m ever hungry.
Food time in Whitby is one of the best Pakistani/Indian restaurant in the GTA. Since moving to the area I’ve become a frequent customer and order food at least twice weekly. The quality of food is top notch, my favourite is the bbq platter and their biryani. I also love how they have daily deals which is very economical and tasty. The restaurant is very clean, staffs are friendly and most of all they are very timely with their orders. If you are in the area, highly recommend you order from here.
I order half karahi. It was too much oil and salt in karahi even you can see the picture when I called them they started argue with me. It was happened before but I let it go but this time happened again I am very disappointed.
Tried Crispy fish which was tasty with good quantity. I really liked their nahari but didn’t like their biryani. Their service is really slow.Recommended dishesNihari
Not as good as their Pickering Location. I have always been a big fan of Food Time Pickering and when they had an unfortunate fire at their Pickering location they had to close down for a while. I recently found out that they decided to open up a Whitby location and got instantly excited. Unfortunately the food just didn't hit the mark for me. We ordered: 1 Chicken Biryani, 1 Veggie Biryani, 1 Karahi Chicken & a small Raita. I was honestly expecting the Chicken Biryani to taste the same as I've always remembered it to be but today it just tasted like a mild pulao. The Veggie Biryani was filled with lots of veggies, but it really felt like they added so many veggies to hide the fact that there was less flavour. The Karahi Chicken was ok, nothing too special The Raita was really disappointing, it was runny and lacked flavour. It tasted like someone just blended mint leaves with milk. Overall it was a pretty disappointing experience for me, I don't think I will be back.
So the first time I went to Food Time I ordered a butter chicken special and ended up getting a tandoori chicken leg instead which I was kind of disappointed about. I actually ended up really liking the food anyway so it really didn't matter. I ended up going a week later and told them about it and that time made sure to get butter chicken. I find the overall quality of the food to actually be really good although sometimes I find it actually to be a little too hot especially with the biriyani which is surprising considering most biriyanis I have had from other places haven't been too hot. I think they must put a lot of chili peppers into it or something. Like what I will say is that Food Time's dishes are pretty consistently good, I have yet to have something from here that I thought was straight up bad. Their naan bread is really good. One time I was kind of disappointed in the salad because it was pretty much entirely made up of red onion instead of lettuce. Maybe it was because it was late at night and they ran out of lettuce or something I don't know. If there is one thing I'm not really a huge fan of I would say it is their vegetable samosas, everything else is really good. They aren't bad, just okay I prefer the samosas from some other places. I personally think the best value/bang for your buck is the meat combo for 2. Food Time's level of heat is like right on the borderline where it's almost too hot for me to eat but at the very least it's not watered down at least to me. I realize that everyone has different levels of heat tolerance but me personally I might tone it down ever so slightly.
The food is fantastic... very authentic Pakistani food. We got the BBQ Platter for 4 which includes the Chicken and the beef kebabs, biriyani rice, yogurt, salad and naan bread. The owner is very nice but the staff need to have proper customer service. Overall great experience and we will surely be back.
Without any doubt the best Desi restaurant in Town, their food is tasty and hygenic. Ive been ordering take away for almost an year now. They have never compromised on their food quality. Definitely recommend to folks who enjoy eating Pakistani/ Indian food.
