Sunshine Restaurant

Lovely family restaurant with a parking lot. Came with my mom for brunch one Saturday, was able to get a booth without a wait. Had a yummy vegan skillet veggie skillet with no eggs or cheese, coffee and toast. My mom said her eggs, grits and sausage was good too. As soon as I walked in I felt the warmth of mom and pop as they smiled and welcomed us and seated us. Vickie the owner was so polite and friendly she made me feel as if I was at home with my parents while having breakfast. This was a great and was a beautiful feeling for me since both my parents have passed away. The food was served quickly and served hot. I had 2 eggs over medium, ham, bacon, grits , pancakes and coffee.my husband had a half pound cheese burger, fries and coffee. He said it was delicious! He helped me finish the pancakes which was great. We left nothing on the plates because it was that good. Mom and pop would be so proud that we finished our plates . Pete is the cook and he has magic hands. Sorry I forgot to take pictures. Once we started we couldn't stop until we were all done. Next time I will post the pictures. This place is a must-visit for me when I'm in town. The owners are so kinda and even remembered me and my friend the second time we can by for brunch. I highly recommend the French toast.Food: 5/5

a perfect diner. unassuming, warm, kind, and quick service. the tasty food and disarming environment provides respite from the loud breakfast places that try too hard just south of the nearby highway. Vickie makes you feel at home the second you walk in. i've been here countless times and will continue to return.Food: 4/5

Fantastic!!! we came here after climbing and it was exactly what we needed. The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful, and the bathroom even had an apple-scented candle lit. My waffle had fresh strawberries not frozen and it was delicious

My fiance and I have wanted to check this place out for a bit and I'm so glad we finally did. The food was greatplus reasonably priced and I love the people working there. You can tell they genuinely care about the people that come in to this restaurant. I told my fiance when we left I wanted to become a regular here and we both agreed we will.

Great food! We needed a place to have lunch/ breakfast on our lunch break last week and we came here from jewel to eat and they were so nice and the food was so good!

One of the Worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I ordered my food online and after 25 mins with no confirmation I went in to pickup my food. I sat down at the counter where there was no one behind it but an older lady standing with an apron on that said nothing to me. After about 30 seconds or so an older man comes from the back and ask "how can I help you", I replied I'm here to pickup my online order. The woman behind me screams in a snappy voice "the tablet don't work here I got no order", so I go back to the car to get my phone and show them and upon return she continues to be rude and tell me verbatim "I'm not making food for you". I asked her what her problem was and her and the older man started talking in a foreign language I canceled my order and plan on never going back or recommending to anyone horrible mean old lady works there. Just to be clear the older man was trying to diffuse the situation and calm her he did no wrong.
