Very cool place! Clean, spacious, and comfortable! It took over 10 minutes to decide what we wanted to order as we were struggling on which ones should have because there are sooo many delicious snacks and dishes! The staff was really diligent, friendly, and caring! And the service was prompt and great! The presentation of the food was awesome and the taste was also fabulous! The customer parking was really easy and convenient at the back of the store even it was in the core area of downtown! Highly recommended! Definitely will come back!
Love the desserts here. A great variety and most are executed extremely well. The other food is also great, with the Hong Kong Style Beef Brisket on Steamed Rice Rolls a favourite of ours. The Black Sesame Egg Waffle is also highly recommended.
Asian dessert place for friend or family gathering. Service was okay. Sometimes had to push the button for service more than once because it was busy. Despite being full on a Saturday night, got a table for five in less than 10 min. Had the famous DIY shaved ice. Big bowl, you have a choice of flavour, two toppings including fruit, and ice cream flavour. Matches and black sesame ice cream were good strong ice creams, was obvious that the ice cream seemed authentic. Also had the Dalgona coffee, not too sweet but coffee could have been stronger. Wish they had regular coffee, espresso, or even Vietnamese coffee for those who want stronger espresso. Impressed they have many Asian desserts such as tofu pudding in syrup. Fruits toppings tasted fresh. Portions are big. Cost is $5-$13 depending on the item. Also has Italian sodas or many flavours. Bathrooms are very very cold, and have very cold water despite pushing the handle with hottest level. Overall: Reasonably priced Asian desserts, good place to bring gatherings for semi sweet eats and chats. Would come again.
This is a really nice place with a very wonderful ambience and great service. The waitress was eager to help us and gave us suggestions for dessert. The missing star is for the food which had great presentation but overall, didn’t really impress as it had about the same taste and quality of regular home cooking.
This is great if you're looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth! It met all expectations. Service was great, presentation and quality excellent. Slightly pricey for what you get. The menu is typical of Asian fast food fare and extensive. Very limited parking in the back was luckily available, otherwise parking in the area is paid. Definitely visiting again!
This place is alright for sort of a hangout place. Their drinks and desserts are sort of hit or miss. You'd have to try it and see which ones you like. My friend's dessert tasted really off so they at least replaced it with something else. The service is ok since they have a call button at each table so you can just press it whenever you need someone. Don't expect them to come check up on you otherwise, which is fine since they usually come pretty quickly when you hit the button. Overall, not too bad to chill with some friends but you just need to figure out which menu items are good.
Extensive menu, takes a while to choose what you want if your indecisive. It’s best to look at the menu before coming and have an idea of what to order before hand.. Unless you want to sit there for 20 minutes deciding what to get. Lol. The food itself is just good, but never exceptional. Food doesn’t taste cheap or anything, just average. Lots of dessert options, I do appreciate the variety of what they offer! This is a good spot to try and share a variety of traditional Asian desserts.
I enjoyed this place immensely. This desert cost 8$ and was not too sweet and a nice light dish. I recommend the Brown Sugar Seduction in photo. If you like deserts but don't want to be drowning in sugar, this is perfect! As well, if you have a young child I would recommend the waffles as they are a bit sweeter. The lighting was dim which makes for great ambiance at night. One thing they should do is make their website run faster as it has a very long loading time.
A 2.5 - 3 rating. The overall look, and dark aesthetics is meant to be more of a night chilling spotm with ample amount of seating. I'm sure the desserts are the things to really go for here. Came here for a dinner meal with some drinks - was not too impressed. My rating is not based on any dessert experience but on everything else. The menu - extensive! Something for everyone even the traditionalists. The service was good and friendly - no issues and quite enjoyed the service here! The food/meals were very mediocre though. Frozen vegetables that still had tastes of frozen veggies. The HK style rice noodles were not so great but I suppose hits the spot. It was drowning in truly salty/dark soy sauce at the bottom without the proper balance of peanut butter sauce and hoisin sauce. The rolls felt reheated in a microwave and stuck together as one a lot. The mini one person hot pot is very gimmicky - careful bc that paper bowl can burn/light in flames. The service to help us out with changing out the bowls and more broth was very good. But the overall single hot pot in a small bowl was very hard to cook and eat properly. The curry for the cutlet was chunky and probably wasn't heated up properly for it to unclump into a more liquid curry style. The drinks - for the milk grass jelly, the grass jelly was too thick and not soft direct from can style which made it hard to drink from the straw. There weren't options on sweetness in drinks - so they were on a standard too sweet for my liking including a mango slush drink.
I chose to go at 5pm right when they open so it wasn't busy. Very spacious but dark. Sooo many options, everything looked tasty. I started off with kimchi popcorn chicken, very basic, I expected it to be crunchier. The mango mille-fueille was really good, pastry was flaky, and the mango was refreshing. Chocolate egg waffle was also good. It wasn't overly sweet like I had imagined it to be seeing the syrup and whipped cream, it was a good balance of flavor.
