This Subway is the absolute worst. The owner is Ray Salazar, candidate for Mound mayor who was humiliated in defeat for Mayor of Mound and sits on the City Council because he lost the Mayoral race. He claims to be a "successful" owner of a whopping TWO subway franchises. That means he makes like thirty grand a year before taxes. His wife is indeed the manic, bipolar woman who wears lipstick like she applied it with her feet and freaks out asking insane questions about cheese and reaffirming six times that I want the sandwich toasted. Every other review is 100% true about her and the way she talks to people. The Hispanic ladies who work there are actually very nice, and I'm thinking about offering them all a job at double the pay "Borat" Ray pays them because Borat-look-a-like Ray and his insane, weirdo wife act like jerks to their employees and customers alike. Very weird people and every time I go to the sandwich shop across the street I remind myself why I never go to their place again. They don't clean the tables either; sticky and greasy from old mayonnaise. Disgusting.

Do not ever go here it made me sick I have no stomach flu because I ate one of their sandwiches and it takes forever to get your sandwich done

Young woman taking the order was nice, albeit naive. She was pretty slow at making the sandwich, along with being extremely light with the toppings. I understand it comes with practice though. The store was ok clean. No huge mess anywhere also not anything i would comment on. As for the drinks, the vitamin water (which should not have carbonation) was fizzy. The flavors are off. My lunch/dinner is not anything i would boast about. Its mediocre at best.

I was in this Subway 1/8/2018 and witnessed the RUDEST treatment of a fellow customer I could have imagined. A man and his young son were in front of me ordering. The Owner of the Subway (dyed black hair and an 80's Magnum PI mustache) and his 5th grade daughter were sitting in the closet booth to the cash register studying homework, specifically state capitals. The nice man ordering and his little boy made very pleasant small talk with them and in a friendly way talked about state capitals, fun trivia etc. The rude jerk owner snapped back at the man and his boy "stop bothering us we are working". What the hell kind of way is that to treat your customer and his little boy who are just trying to be nice to you in YOUR freaking store, you complete jerk? If you have a problem doing homework in a Subway go somewhere else, cheapskate! Especially sitting right next to the register where people make small talk anyway. The little boy was visibly sad (maybe 8 years old) and almost started to cry at this jerk's outburst and his dad loooked at me as if to say "did that just happen?" I've been coming here 3+ times a week and will NEVER come back. Cancelled the huge catering I had planned for my office party as well. I can see why this place has so many 1 star ratings. It's a place to get a sandwich not a library. Please read these reviews, they all seem to have a common theme. Businesses should not be rewarded for such excessive rudeness to their customers.

From the moment I arrived at this location I was mocked, treated rudely, and harassed. I'd like to note that I tried calling the "owner" but he defended his actions and his wife's actions and then hung up on me. Therefore, I am left to write this review and encourage patrons to visit another location that is better managed. Upon arriving, a nice spanish speaking woman helped with my sandwhich. Halfway through she was rudely pushed aside by the owner/wife and shoved in the back, which was extremely awkward for myself and my coworker and sad for the poor employee. When I went to pay I presented a valid coupon for my sandwich but asked if I could add cookies and a drink. The wife asked me what I wanted three times, all and I happily confirmed. Upon responding the last time the wife yelled (not stated, and this is a direct quote): "Um, you said it three times so I think I freaking got it! Sorry to snap at you, but I've done this for 27 years so I can get it right." Reminder, she kept asking me in a frantic panic which was the only reason I kept retelling her my wishes. The husband came to enter in my coupon, at which time I found out it would be 4 dollars for my soda and chips only. I said I would instead just have the sandwich and was ready to be on my way. The woman laughed and told me it was so cheap I wouldn't pay. My coworker then began to pay and while he was doing so the pair continued to mock me and my "cheapness" and said that they should just give him his for free since he was willing to actually pay. Another quote, "we should give you yours for free to see what she does." At this point I stepped forward and said, "I just want to let you know I feel like you are being very rude to me, and since this is a customer service industry I feel you should know how your customers feel. I won't be coming back." The woman went off, yelling that she is "nice" and "friendly" (despite two minutes before admitting she rudely snapped at me). I walked to the door and said nothing more, waiting for my coworker to get his drink. Because the wife wouldn't calm down, the manager yelled from the back to me at the front door that I should "leave because I caused enough commotion." First, no owner should speak to a customer, who voices a very real complaint, in that manner and in front of an entire restaurant. Second, this husband needs to get his employee/wife under control (or medicated). This incident inevitably ruined my afternoon. I tried to ignore her comments, and when they were direct jabs at me I finally said something, which in no manner was unreasonable. I note this location has a lot of 1 star reviews... I get it. Don't support this owner and his business. This quote from the husband sums it up, "We got your complaint and we don't care."
