Haskell's Port of Excelsior

Went here recently and was far from impressed. Service was poor the waitstaff was rude. Maybe it was just a bad night for them, but I definitely do not plan on returning any time soon.

Regular accused me of stealing $20 and told me to pay him $40 to make it even. When I refused he threatened to "pop me in the jaw." When I went inside to close out my tab he then did assault me and the bartenders blamed me for the assault telling me "I must have said something to him." Drinks are welled poor and inexpensive. Close to the lake and a decent patio section although every table was sticky. I don't mind aggressive drunks, you can find one or two at most bars, but I think it was incredibly unprofessional to blame the person who was assaulted for the altercation. Probably a one off experience but I would not recommend this location to anyone, even as a dive bar.

Service was super speedy and our waitress was really attentive to our timing (waiting for a boat to leave). Great deals, too!

Great food! Real dive bar feel. The cooks really do care about their food and they have unique specials.
