Story

The St. Francis Xavier Sports Centre offers exciting new sports and fitness opportunities for athletes and the community year-round.

The Sports Centre greatly enhances the neighbouring facilities in Johnny Bright Sports Park such as the Bill Hunter Arena, Jasper Place Bowl, and the Jasper Place Fitness and Leisure Centre.

Amenities of this facility includes:

-Large gymnasium dividable into 3 full-size gymnasiums
-Playing space for basketball, badminton, soccer, volleyball, futsal, martial arts or other activities
-Indoor Jogging/Walking track suspended above the gyms
-Spectator seating

The gym they have there for lifting isn't big at all they have a bit of cardion at one corner of the track, some fixed machines at the other corner and then 2 benches with some dumbbells at another corner. If you're looking for a good lifting session I wouldn't recommend this facility

Beautiful and clean kept volleyball courts. Locker/change rooms also very clean. Received a friendly welcome when I walked in. Can’t wait for my ESSC schedule to have me playing there again!

Beautiful facility for basketball and volleyball. Would give this place 5 stars if they could improve on two things.  1 add more workout equipment and other accessories. I would go more often if they had more gym equipment or maybe an extra room or two with weights, machines, squat racks, etc...facility is so big I think they can definitely add yoga room for other classes on level 2  or maybe use one of their courts on level 1 to add extra equipment. Because I feel like they went a little excessive with the basketball and Volleyball courts. Lots of wasted space here  It’s also missing other important gym feats like a mirror, kinda weird to be lifting without a mirror to see my form.  2  Also the hours are very limited, not everyone can make those times.  Overall a lot of underutilized space in a beautiful facility.

I would give the facility 5 stars, however I would give the person at the front desk named “Mohammed “ 0 star. He Was very rude and his costumer service skills not up to the right standards. He need more training on his customer service skills.

The facility is clean and staff are great.  Please turn on some air conditioning in this heat  the walking track and weights are on the top floor. Yesterday is was 27 degrees up there.

If you want to play and do body build this is the right place for u

Beautiful facilities! The only challenge was the lighting in the gyms - I was blinded while trying to play badminton, and suspect other sports requiring you to look up would be challenging as well.

good facility, with three separated full sized gyms, a running track with gym equipment around it on top surrounding the gyms, and nice, clean, decently sized change rooms, this is a nice place to go and play basketball, volleyball, or even handball. very clean facility.
